تتركز الدراسة حول إلقاء الضوء على أهم الاعتبارات الجمالية والوظيفية في تصميم الحلي التي تخص اهتمام الرجل. والعمل على إرساء بعض المفاهيم والضوابط العلمية التي تحدد ما ينتمي إلى ذوق الرجل عند إجراء عملية التصميم، والوصول إلى تحديد الملائمات الجمالية التي تناسب تصميم حلي الرجل الشرقي والارتقاء بالذوق والمظهر العام للرجل في استخدامه للحلي، وتحديد أهم الخصائص والسمات العامة التي تميز حلي الرجل الشرقي، وبالتالي يمكن إيجاد نسق علمي يعمل كإطار مرجعي يقوم على أساسه مصمم الحلي عند التعامل مع تصميم حلي الرجل. وفي هذه الدراسة تم التركيز على بعض النقاط الهامة، ومن بينها الخلفية التاريخية المرتبطة بحلي الرجل، كما قدمت الدراسة تصنيف عام يتضمن مفردات الحلي الخاصة بالرجل الشرقي. كما تعرضت الدراسة للجوانب النفسية وعادات استخدام الحلي عند الرجل إلى جانب تناول مظاهر استخدام الحلي للرجل الشرقي. وبعض مصنفات حلي الرجل المنتشرة بين أوساط المجتمعات الغربية. بالإضافة إلى التعرض لمظاهر استخدام الحلي للرجل الأفريقي للوقوف على أهم السمات المشتركة بين المجتمعات. لإظهار ما ينتمي لذوق كل منهم. كما تناولت الدراسة عرضا تحليليا يضم بعض مصنفات الحلي الخاصة بالرجل الموجودة بالأسواق المصرية لتحديد أهم الخصائص الموجودة في حلي الرجل الشرقي. واشتمل الجانب التطبيقي من الدراسة على بعض النماذج التصميمية التي ركزت على أهم الاعتبارات التي يجب توافرها في مجال حلي الرجل الشرقي.
