التكرار آلة بيانية ذات وظائف لا تقل أهمية عن الإيجاز؛ إلا أنه ملجأ فني يركز عليه المبدع ساعة إبلاغه الرسالة لما فيه من التقرير وإذاعة الإيقاع الوظيفي الفعال. من أجل ذلك أردت بهذه الدراسة إبانة الفعل البياني والجمالي والإيقاعي الذي ينجم عن أسلوبية التكرار؛ فاخترت لذلك مجموعة من النماذج الشعرية بالتركيز على هندسة التكرار ومواقعه في النص وما للازمة وتشكلاتها العديدة المصحوبة بفيض الشعرية وأدبية الصورة والخيال؛ والتكرار في الشعر يقوي الوحدة والتمركز ويظهر في تناوب الحركة والسكون أو تكرر الشيء على أبعاد متساوية. وفي ترديد لفظ واحد أو معنى واحد وهو الترجيع، ترجيع البداية في النهاية، ترجيع القرار في الغناء، رد العجز على الصدر في الشعر، ترجيع النوتة الواحدة في الموسيقى، والعود المتواتر إلى شيء بعينه. والتكرار كثير الشيوع في الفن وقل ما نجد أثرا فنيا لا تتكرر فيه أجزاء متقاربة أو متباعدة. ومنه الترجيع المتسق أو الإيقاع. ثم إن الحديث عن التكرار لا يجعل من المكرر عمدة وحده دون ربطه بالنص في كليته؛ لذلك نجده تكرارا يؤثر في العنوان ودلالته وإكساب النص والخطاب انسجاما وتماسكا في بناه بفضل التكرار لأنه الخيط الرفيع والروح الدرامية التي تحفظ تلك الخصيصات جمعيا، بل ثمة علاقة جد وطيدة بين ذلك الفعل البياني والمتلقي متفاعلا مع الرسالة.
