المستخلص: A neck pain syndrome between computer professionals, a common musculoskeletal pain disorder, has been increasing dramatically in recent years. This study investigated the effect of commonly used physical therapeutic modalities on the neck pain on computer professionals with cervical myofascial pain syndrome. 53 participants (20- 50 years, X = 31± 2.54 years, male and female), 33 females their ages ranged from 20 to 50 years (X = 28 ± 3.74), and 20 males their ages ranged from 27 to 50 years (X= 34 ±2.51). Intensity and severity of pain, and headache were evaluated using scales for these reasons. Neck range of motion testing using goniometer was performed for 6 parameters of flexion and extension, right- and left-side bending, and right and left rotation. Myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) were selected and assessed. Evaluations were practiced at the beginning and at the end of the study. Subjects randomly divided into 2 groups; Group (1) received transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation (TENS), myofascial release technique (MFRT), and hot packs. Group, (2) received interferential current (IFC), stretching and spray technique (SST), and active range of motion (ROM). Sessions were done three times weekly and for 12 sessions. Results showed significant improvement in both groups. Package of therapeutical modalities used for group (2) are most effective than therapeutic combinations used in group (1).
