المستخلص: هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى الكشف عن واقع استخدام الأجهزة الإلكترونية من قبل الأطفال والوقوف على إيجابيات وسلبيات استخدام الأجهزة الإلكترونية وأثرها على الحوار والتواصل مع الطفل من وجهة نظر الآباء والأمهات، في حين تكونت عينة الدراسة من عينة ضمت 200 من أولياء الأمور )الآباء والأمهات(، واستخدمت الاستبانة كأداة للدراسة، كما توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج كان من أهمها: أن الطفل يفضل البقاء مع الأجهزة الإلكترونية على الجلوس مع العائلة، وأن الأجهزة الإلكترونية تؤثر على التحصيل الدراسي للطفل وتضعف من الحوار والتواصل مع الأسرة، ثم خُتمت الدراسة ببعض التوصيات التي يمكن أن تكون إضافة لبناء حوار وتواصل إيجابي مع الطفل وتساهم في الحد من الاستخدام السلبي للأجهزة الإلكترونية من أهمها: تعزيز دور الأسرة في تحديد سلوك الطفل وعاداته في استخدام الأجهزة الإلكترونية، وتعويد الطفل على أساليب التواصل والحوار الإيجابي من سنواته العمرية الأولى، وكذلك تعويده على الاستخدام الإيجابي والأمثل للأجهزة الإلكترونية بتوجيه ميوله نحو التفكير الإيجابي والاتجاه نحو العلم والمعرفة، ونشر التوعية الأسرية وتثقيف الأسر ببيان الطرق الصحيحة للاستخدام الأمثل لهذه الأجهزة من أجل التقليل من آثارها السلبية على الأطفال.

This study aimed to detect the reality behind the use of electronic devices by children, and to investigate the pros and cons of using devices and their impact on dialogue and communication with the child from parents’ point of view. To complete this study, several questionnaires were distributed to a sample of 200 parents, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for the study. The study also concluded several results, and one of the most important results was: that the child prefers to stay with electronic devices rather than to sit with the family, and that the electronic devices affect the academic achievement of children and weaken the dialogue and communication with the family. Finally, the research concluded with some recommendations that can be added to a constructive dialogue and positive contact with the child and the reduction of the negative use of electronic devices. Some of those recommendations were: strengthening the role of the family in determining the child's behavior and habits regarding the use of electronic devices, and to train the child to use positive communication and dialogue methods from an early age, also teaching the child the positive and correct use of electronic devices, and to guide the child towards positive thinking and towards science and knowledge, and the spreading of the family’s awareness, and educating families by explaining the correct ways to use devices in order to minimize the negative effects on children.
