يقصد بالنظام الصحي؛ الرعاية الصحية التي تهمت بدراسة صحة الفرد من خلال معرفة عناصر المنظومة الصحية سواء كانت تشخيصية أو علاجية أو وقائية، وتوزيعها وتحليلها المكاني وإمكانية الوصول إليها وقرب المكان لها. ومن ثم سوف تركز الدراسة على التوزيع الجغرافي للخدمات الصحية الحكومية بصفة عامة بالإضافة إلى القطاع الخاص والدور الذي تقوم به تلك المؤسسات الصحية لتلبي احتياجات المجتمع المنياوي من هذه الخدمة، ثم تقييم كفاءتها والتي تقاس من خلال عدد من المؤشرات ومعايير الخدمة الصحية لمعرفة نوعية المستوى الصحي المقدم للسكان. كما يتناول البحث توطن المنشآت الصحية الكبرى بعاصمة المحافظة، وتراتب الخدمات الصحية والنطاق الخدمي لنفوذها، مع تسليط الضوء علي الوضع الراهن للتأمين الصحي ومتوسط نصيب الفرد من الإنفاق الحكومي علي الصحة، لتختتم الدراسة بمشكلات النظام الصحي وسبل التغلب عليها في محافظة المنيا.
The study of health care today is considered one of the most important modern application trends in geographical studies in general, and medical geography in particular. It is considered with the investigation of an individual's health through identifying the elements of the health system, whether diagnostic, medicinal or preventive, their distribution, spatial analysis, accessibility, and physical proximity. Therefore, the present study will focus on the geographical distribution of public health services in general, with special reference to the private sector institutions and the role which these health institutions do to meet the health needs of El-Minia Community, and then it will evaluate their efficiency in the light of several indicators. It will also investigate health service criteria to identify the quality of the health service provided for people. The present research also investigates the localization of big health institutions in the capital city of the governorate, the health services they provide, and the scope of the services they provide, shedding light on the current situation of health insurance and per capita share in governmental expenditure on health. The study concludes with a visualization of the future of the health system in El-Minia Governorate.
