المستخلص: This research is an attempt to expose the possibilities of achieving an agricultural development in the field of study via studying potentialities and obstacles of agricultural production. It attempts to specify its effects on the agricultural position of the region as far as distribution of agricultural crops is concerned. The research concludes that production potentialities did not appear completely even in the vital part of the region that is represented by the irrigation borders of Daghara River and its branches which is of about 38.8% of the whole area. It was seen that shortage of water resources is the most prominent factors that effect agricultural production in the region. It curbed achieving an agricultural development in the region, since it made about 61.2% of its area out of irrigation borders. The saltiness of the soil is also of a great effect the agricultural production of the region since it spreads in irrigation borders in which different corps are concentrated for two seasons. It was seen also that all villages in the field of study are distributed within the irrigation borders along with the creeks close to them. The problems and obstacles are getting more and this effects achieving agricultural development negatively, so, solutions should be made and implemented to keep its effectiveness.
