المستخلص: هدف البحث الحالي تقنين اختبار همنون- نلسون Henmone -Nelsone للقدرة العقلية لدى طلبة الجامعة، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف ترجم الاختبار وتعليماته من اللغة الإنكليزية إلى اللغة العربية، وجرت الترجمة العكسية وعرض الاختبار على مجموعة من المتخصصين باللغة الإنكليزية وأجريت بعض التعديلات في ضوء ملاحظاتهم.وللتحقق من قدرة الاختبار ظاهريا على قياس ما وضع من أجل قياسه عرض على مجموعة من الخبراء المتخصصين في العلوم التربوية والنفسية، وقد عدت جميع فقرات الاختبار البالغ عددها (١٠٠) فقرة صالحة منطقيا لقياس ما وضع لأجل قياسه بنسبة (80%) من أراء الخبراء، بعد ذلك عرض الاختبار وتعليماته على متخصصين باللغة العربية، وأجريت بعض التعديلات اللغوية وبذلك جهز الاختبار المكون من (كراس الفقرات، ورقة إجابة منفصلة، مفتاح التصحيح المثقب)، وحسب الوقت اللازم لتطبيق الاختبار من خلال تطبيقه على عينة بلغ عددها (٤٠) طالبا وطالبة، حيث بلغ متوسط الوقت (40) دقيقة.بعدها أجري تحليل إحصائي لفقرات الاختبار لاستخراج معاملات (الصعوبة، التمييز، فعالية البدائل الخاطئة) من خلال تطبيقه على عينة بلغ عددها (500) طالبا وطالبة، وعدت (94) فقرة صالحة في ضوء معايير محددة لخصائص الفقرات، ثم استخرجت الخصائص القياسية للاختبار فحقق الصدق الظاهري وصدق البناء من التحقق من افتراضي الاتساق الداخلي والفروق الفردية، وحسب الثبات بطريقتين الأولى باستخدام معادلة ألفا كرونباخ فبلغ معامل الثبات (0.84)، أما باستخدام معادلة هويت (0.85) وحسب الخطأ المعياري الذي بلغ (3.95) للطريقة الأولى و (3.87) للطريقة الثانية. ولاستخراج معايير الاختبار طبق على عينة بلغ عددها (1530) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة جامعات العراق، وقد كانت متغيرات الجنس والتخصص والصف بدلالة إحصائية لذلك استخرجت (16) جدول لمعايير المئينات المقابلة للدرجات الخام للاختبار. ثم توصل الباحثان إلى مجموعة من التوصيات والمقترحات ذات الصلة بنتائج البحث.

The present study aims at Standardizing Henmone-Nelsone test for Mental Ability for college students . To a chieve the aim of this study , the test is translated from English language to Arabic along with its directions . Then an opposite translation is done. The translated test is then exposed on ajury members of specialists in English language , and depending on their recommendations , several modifications are a chieved .To achieve face validity , it is exposed on a number of experts in educational and psychological sciences , accordingly all the (100)test-items are considered logically suitable and valid with a percentage (80%) agreement in experts suggestions . Then the test is exposed on a group of experts in Arabic Language and in the light of their recommendations several linguistic modification are done.Therefore, the test prepared includes the test-items ,pamphlet,a separate answer sheet, the scoring key.The time required to apply the test is calculated by applying the test on a group of (40) male and female college students , and it is found out to be 40 minuties .The statistical analysis of the test-items is done to find out the level of difficulty , the discriminating power , and the wrong options attration power,by applying the test on a sample of (500) male and female college studenrs. Accordingly, ninety – four items are considered suitable in light of specific criteria for item characteristics . Then the psychometric characteristics of the test is found out which include face validity , construct validity which is found out by the interral consistency and the individual differences assumptions.Then the reliability coefficient is calculated by Alpha-Cronbach Formula where it is found to be 0.84 , and by Hoyat formula where it is found to be 0.85 . The standard error is also calculated where it is found out to be 3.95 for the first method , and 3.87 for the second method . In order to find out the criteria of the test , it is applied on a sample of (1530)male and female Iraqi college students .It is found out that the sex,specialization and class variables are all statistically significant , therefore , sixteen table for the percentile criteria which refer to the raw scores of the test are found out . Then the two researchers have reached several recommendations and suggestions in relation to the results of the present study.
