المستخلص: A number of scholars concerned with the rise of the Muslims' historical intellectual concept establish the fact that Abban Bin Uthman Bin Affan has a book dealing with the biography and military expeditions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). But other scholars considered him the pioneer of classification in this domain. The researcher pointed out that what the scholars depended upon is an allusion in some texts inadequate to prove that Abban wrote a book on the Prophetic biography. But he considered that the text they used as a basic for their argument proves the contrary to their allegation. The researcher concludes that Abban took a corrected copy from one of his masters, and maintained that Orwa Bin Al-Zubair is the one intended.
