استهدفت الدراسة التعرف على الطرق المستخدمة في علاج وصيانة الأثار النحاسية حيث تطرقت إلى عدة عناصر منها عوامل التلف الداخلية وعوامل التلف الخارجية والوسط الغازي وصدأ معدن النحاس وسبائكه. كما تناولت العوامل التي تحكم تآكل معدن النحاس في الماء والمواد العضوية وعلاقتها بالتربة. والباتينا وعلاقتها بالآثار النحاسية فعرفت الباتينا وتكوينها. وأشارت الدراسة إلى الطرق المستخدمة في العلاج كالتنظيف الميكانيكي والأدوات المستخدمة فيه والتنظيف الكيمائي مع إعطاء أمثله له كالتنظيف باستخدام المحاليل الحامضية والمحاليل القلوية. وتناولت لطرق علاج مرض البرونز كالعلاج بأكسيد الفضة ومسحوق الزنك. وإلى طرق العلاج بالاختزال وتفاعلات الاختزال كالاختزال الكهروكيميائي والكهربي. كما شرحت الدراسة لأهم المواد اللاصقة المستخدمة في تجميع الآثار النحاسية. وطرق تجميع الآثار النحاسية وعملية استكمال الآثار النحاسية وطرق استكمال الأجزاء المفقودة. وأوضحت طرق عزل الآثار النحاسية وحمايتها من الصدأ ومن هذه الطرق الطلاءات الورقية والطرق الكهربية. وبينت المواد البخارية والدراسات التحليلية والاخترال الكهروكيميائي مستنتجة مميزات وعيوب هذه الطريقة. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The objective of the study was to identify the methods used in the treatment and maintenance of copper effects, including the elements of internal and external damage factors, gaseous medium, corrosion of copper metal and its alloys. It also addressed the factors governing the corrosion of copper metal in water, the organic matter and its relationship to soil, the patina and its relationship to the copper effects; its definition and composition. The study referred to the methods used in treatment such as mechanical cleaning and tools used in it, chemical cleaning, with examples such as cleaning using acid solutions and alkaline solutions. It addressed the treatment methods of Branze disease, such as treatment with silver oxide and zinc dust, reduction methods treatment and reduction reactions such as electrochemical and electrical reduction. The study also explained the most important adhesives used in the collection of copper effects, the methods of assembling them, their process of completing and the ways of completing the missing parts. It demonstrated as well the methods of isolating the copper effects and protecting them from rust. These methods include paper coatings and electrical methods.
