هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى تحديد تطبيقات اللغة في كتب اللغة العربية لصفوف؛ الثامن، والتاسع، والعاشر، في الأردن. اتخذت الدراسة من (الفقرة) وحدة لتحليل النصوص ومن (السؤال) وحدة لتحليل الأسئلة، ومثلت أداه الدراسة قائمة تضم (30) تطبيقا. وتوصلت إلى نتائج أبرزها: اشتمال فقرات نصوص كتب اللغة العربية على (29) تطبيقا لغويا حياتيا، وأسئلتها على العدد عينه؛ منها في فقرات النصوص (18) تطبيقا نسبة تركيزها أقل من (1)، وفي الأسئلة (27) تطبيقا نسبة تركيزها أقل من (1)، وانصب تركيز هذه التطبيقات على مواقف الحديث والمشافهة والوصف وفض النزاعات والتفاوض، حيث شكلت أكثر من (40) من نسبة التطبيقات التي اشتملت عليها الكتب مجتمعة، وأظهرت النتائج تباينا واضحا بين نسبة ما أوردته نصوص الكتب من تطبيقات وما أوردته أسئلته. وخلصت الدراسة إلى عدد من المقترحات والتوصيات التي تعزز هذه التطبيقات اللغوية الوظيفية كبعد من أبعاد الوظيفية اللغوية.
This descriptive study aimed to identify the real life language functions in the Arabic language textbooks: communication skills for upper basic stage (8th, 9th, 10th grades) in Jordan. The paragraph was used as an analysis unit for analyzing the texts, whereas the question was used as a unit of analysis for the activities and exercises. The study instrument, whose validity and reliability were checked, included a standard checklist consisting of (30) real life language functions. The researcher statistically analyzed the frequency of the language functions and their percentages to answer the study’s questions. The findings of the study showed that Arabic Language textbooks: communication skills include (29) language functions, and the same number for the corresponding questions. The paragraphs in the texts contain (18) language functions which is equal to less than (1%) concentration, and in the questions (27) language functions with concentration equal to less than (1%). The concentration of the language functions in the textbooks is directed to real life applications such as oral skills, description, conflict resolution and negotiation which comprise more than (40%) of the real life language functions in all the textbooks. The findings also revealed that there was a statistically significant difference between texts and questions in the degree of containing language functions. The study put forward some recommendations which may enhance the effective application of these real life language functions.
