سعاد الصباح صوت شعري عربي أصيل, تعد من الجيل الثالث من شعراء الحاثة في بلدها الكويت, عبرت عن هموم المرأة العربية بعامة والكويتية بخاصة. وقد حظيت بعناية النقاد والدارسين الذين سلكوها في أطر شعرية وفنية مختلفة, فسلكت ضمن الإبداع النسوي المنتمي إلى الرومانسية حيناً, أو إلى إطار مدرسة أبوللو أحياناً. وقد تناول دارسوها محاول كثيرة في شعرها كالمحور الوطني أو الاجتماعي أو الوجداني, أو محور الحب أو المرأة. ودرسوا منابع شعريتها ومواكبتها لحركات التمرد الفني في الشعر المعاصر, فدرس بعضهم شعرها بعامة كما فعل سعيد فرحات( ), ومحمد التونجي( ), وفاضل خلف( ), نبيل راغب( ), وصلاح فضل( ). وخص بعضهم الشاعرة بدراسة لغتها كما فعل محمود حيدر( ), أو فضل الأمين الذي درس موضوعة الانتماء الحميم في شعر سعاد الصباح( ), أو سمير ستيتية الذي بحث في الوظيفة اللغوية في نصوص الشاعرة( ), إلى غير ذلك من الدراسات المهمة في هذا السياق والتي جاءت بها أقلام الدارسين والباحثين. يتخذ هذا البحث منحى آخر وذلك من خلال تركيزه على العلاقة الجدلية بين الذات والموضوع في شعر هذه الشاعرة المتميزة, إن من يقرأ شعر سعاد الصباح, سيلاحظ أنه يتوزع حول ثنائيات متضادة, مثل ثنائية الحياة أو الموت, والمرأة والرجل, والغدر والوفاء, والذات والموضوع. وقد اخترت الثنائية الأخيرة لأهميتها الفكرية, وظهورها بوصفها سمة مميزة في شعرية الشاعرة.
Suad Al-Sabah is one of the original Arab poets, and she is from the third generation of the modern poets in her country Kuwait. She expressed the concerns of Arabic women in general and Kuwaiti women in particular. Also she got the attention of the critics and researchers who classified her in different frameworks of art and poetry. She followed the path of feminist creativity which sometimes belongs to Romantcism and some times belongs to Apollo School. Researchers took into consideration plenty of subjects in her poems such as national, social, emotional, love, or women issues. In addition, they studied the sources of her poetry and its abreast of the artistic rebel movemens in the modern poetry. Some of them studied her poetry in general like what S’ayd Farahat did in A critical study in te poetry of Suad Al-Sabah, Mohammad Al-tunjy in A traveler’s study in the poetry of Suad Al- Sabah, Fadil khalaf in poetry and the poet, Nabeel Rabeel Regheb in the playing on tight strings, and Salah Fadel in the sea rose and the freedom in feminist imaginition, a journey in the poetry of suad Alsabah. Other researchers studied her language such as Mahmoud Haider in his book the contiguity language, Fadel Alameen who studied the subject of the intimate affiliation in Suad Al-Sabah, the poet of the intimate affiliation, Samir Staityeah in his research The linguistic function and texts analysis in the poet, of Suad Al-Sabah, and other important studies presented by famous reseachers and scholars. This research is an attempt to take another path in the critical study, and it embodies an important duality which appears in her poet as the duality of the subject and the object, and what they contain of a dialectical relationship that appear with other opposite dualities. These contrasts such as life and death, man and women, treachery and loyalty, abstract and concrete, subject and object are some of the characteristics in her poetry. The last duality is our subject in this research because of its significance and appearance as a distinctive stylistic feature. \
