|f The study aimed at addressing the psychometric characteristics of the self-harming assessment scale in a sample of autistic children in the State of Kuwait by preparing a measure of self-harm behavior in autistic children from 8 to 12 years old, and ascertaining the psychometric characteristics of the self-harm assessment scale in terms of its reliability and stability. The study was based on the descriptive psychometric method. It included 40 male autistic children. The scale came in 40 phrases distributed over two dimensions: physical self-harming and psychological self-harming. The study found that the measure of the self-harming behavior assessment of autistic children was reliable, valid and suitable for the purposes of this study. It can be used in psychological and educational studies that deal with reducing the self-harm behavior of this category of children, aged from 8 to 12 years old. It recommended that the measure of self-harming behavior assessment should be used as a codified tool for the Arab society in general and for Kuwait in particular, to measure the behavior of self-harm in autistic children, focusing on the use of non-alienating behavioral techniques such as exclusion from positive reinforcement, differential reinforcement and modeling. Moreover, drawing the attention of care providers such as parents and teachers to the importance of providing early assistance to those children after consulting specialists to overcome their non-adaptive behaviors.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|e هدفت الدراسة إلى تناول الخصائص السيكومترية لمقياس تقدير إيذاء الذات لدى عينة من الأطفال الذاتويين في دولة الكويت. من خلال إعداد مقياس تقدير سلوك إيذاء الذات لدى الأطفال الذاتويين من 8 إلى 12 سنة. والتأكد من الخصائص السيكومترية لمقياس تقدير إيذاء الذات من حيث صدقه وثباته. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي السيكومتري. وتضمنت 40 طفلا ذاتويا من الذكور. وجاء المقياس في 40 عبارة موزعة على بعدين وهما إيذاء الذات الجسدي وإيذاء الذات النفسي. وتوصلت الدراسة إلى أن مقياس تقدير سلوك إيذاء الذات للأطفال الذاتويين امتاز بصدق وثبات مناسبين لأغراض هذه الدراسة ويمكن استخدامه في الدراسات النفسية والتربوية التي تتناول خفض سلوك إيذاء الذات بتلك الفئة من الأطفال من سن 8 إلى12 سنة. وأوصت بالاستفادة من مقياس تقدير مستوى سلوك إيذاء الذات كأداة مقننة على المجتمع العربي عامة والكويتي خاصة لقياس سلوك إيذاء الذات لدى الأطفال الذاتويين. والتركيز على استخدام الفنيات السلوكية غير التنفيرية كالأقصاء عن التعزيز الإيجابي والتعزيز التفاضلي والنمذجة. ولفت أنظار ذوي الرعاية كالوالدين والمعلمين على أهمية تقديم المساعدة المبكرة لهؤلاء الأطفال بعد استشارة متخصصين للتغلب على السلوكيات غير التكيفية التي تصدر عنهم.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
