The aim of the research is to design a proposed program to develop some of the orientation and movement skills of children with visual and mental disabilities. The descriptive analytical approach was used in the clarification of the two concepts; the first concept is the child with dual visual and mental impairment, the shortcomings of children with visual and mental disabilities, and causes and factors of visual disability associated with mental disability and diagnosing them. The second concept is the definition of the skill of orientation and movement, the basic skills of orientation and movement including the growth of concepts, the growth of sensory skills, motor growth, and environmental and community awareness. In addition, deficiencies of children with dual visual and mental disabilities in orientation and movement skills, the ways to develop orientation and movement skills, and the impact of environmental awareness on motor growth and cognitive processes necessary for orientation. The results reached the design of a proposed program for the development of some of the skills of orientation and movement of children with dual visual and mental disabilities. The program consisted of the main objective of the program, the procedural objectives, the techniques used in implementing the proposed program represented in the reinforcement and its methods. Besides, the foundations of the program, program implementation requirements and the stages of its implementation represented in the preparatory phase, the implementation phase, the evaluation phase and the number of sessions of the proposed program.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
