|b The purpose of this study was to identify the status of professional development for the educational supervisors in Riyadh city from their perspective, as. well as to reveal the barriers to the supervisors professional development. In addition to, identify means of improvement to the educational supervisors’ professional development. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher used a survey contained of (45) statements distributed in three categories as a main tool to this study. After measuring the stability of the study’s tool, the researcher indicted a simple random sample of (201) educational supervisor from all Educational Offices in Riyadh City, whom they represent (48%) of this study population. Findings of the Study: The results of the study show that Riyadh city educational supervisors do not agree to their professional development. There are barriers to the educational supervisors’ professional development, which most important are: limit opportunities in studying abroad and increased number of administration responsibilities requested from the educational supervisors. Educational supervisors strongly agree to the means of improvement to their professional development, which the most important are: indicate those who work more on their professional development with financial motives, involve supervisor in choosing their actual needs. There were no significant differences between educational supervisors’ responses due to variables of (qualification, experience, and number of training).

|a هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على واقع التنمية المهنية للمشرفين التربويين بمدينة الرياض من وجهة نظرهم، وتسليط الضوء على أبرز المعوقات التي تحد من تنميتهم المهنية، وأيضاً سبل التطوير التي تحقق التنمية المهنية المنشودة لهم. ولتحقيق أهداف هذه الدراسة استخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي المسحي، والاستبانة أداة رئيسة للدراسة، تكونت من (45) فقرة وزعت في ثلاثة مجالات. وبعد تأكد الباحث من ثبات وصدق الأداة، تم تطبيقها على عينة الدراسة البالغ عددهم (201) مشرفا تربويا من جميع مكاتب التعليم بمدينة الرياض. وكان من أبرز النتائج ما يلي: أظهرت نتائج الدراسة بأن المشرفين التربويين غير موافقين على واقع التنمية المهنية للمشرفين التربويين بمدينة الرياض. أن هناك معوقات تحد من التنمية المهنية للمشرفين التربويين، والتي من أبرزها: قلة الفرص المتاحة للابتعاث، كثرة المسئوليات الإدارية المطلوبة من المشرف التربوي. المشرفون التربويون موافقون بشدة على أبرز سبل التطوير التي تحقق التنمية المهنية المنشودة لهم، والتي من أبرزها: تقديم حوافز مادية للمشروف التربوي المتميز في التنمية المهنية، إشراك المشرف التربوي في تحديد احتياجاته من برامج التنمية المهنية. لا توجد فروق ذات دلالة إحصائي بين أفراد الدراسة حول واقع التنمية المهنية للمشرفين التربويين بمدينة الرياض تبعاً لمتغيرات الدراسة.
