المستخلص: The living room is considered one of the most important rooms of the house; the family is staying most of the day in it. And By adding a beautiful touch to this room, it could be converted to a high artistic work. And because the art and the beauty are necessary in human life, so the researcher thought to design pieces of furnishing for the living room inspired by the art of surrealism. The research aims to study the surrealism school and make design of the living room furnishings. The research also shows the steps for designing original pieces of living room furnishing inspired by the art of surrealism. The research clarified the importance of studying the artistic features for the surrealism school to design modem pieces of furnishing for the present time living room.
