The current study aims to identify the relationship of displacement towards the legal protection of displaced people in West Darfur state. It also seeks to identify the differences between males and females in resorting to legal protection. Also, it recognizes the differences between displaced and non-displaced people towards legal protection. The study sample consists of displaced people from West Darfur state. The study was applied on a sample of (500) individuals (250 displaced, and 250 non-displaced). The researcher used the systematic random sampling. He used the analytical descriptive method to test the study hypotheses. The study tools were represented in the measuring of the trend towards legal protection questionnaire (prepared by the researcher). Moreover, the statistical analysis of the study data by computer was conducted using the (SPSS) program (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) using the following statistical equations: Pearson and Spearman Correlation Coefficient, Standard Deviation, and T Test. The study reached numerous findings, they are summarized as below: 1-The trends of misplaced people towards legal protection were negative. This indicates that misplaced people do not resort to legal protection due to their belief that law is useless in their current situation. This result was due to the absence of legal protection during the war, which leads the people affected by it feel a sense of mistrust in law. This alerts the need to accelerate the preparation of programs to modify the trends of displaced people towards legal protection. 2-There are statistically significant differences between displaced people towards legal protection attributed to gender (males - females) and they are in favor of females. Such result was expected due to the psychological composition of females, as they are more inclined to begging and asking for help in case of problems. While males tend to challenge, revolt and take their rights in multiple ways before resorting to law. Therefore, males trends were less urgent than those of women towards legal protection. 3-There are statistically significant differences between displaced and non-displaced 4-people towards legal protection in favor of displaced people. This result is attributed to the fact that the problems and difficulties displaced people faced during the war, and as a result of the efforts of humanitarian organizations through continuous training on the importance of resorting to law as a means of obtaining rights and solving problems, displaced people have resorted more to the rule of law and legal protection than other residents. This raises the importance of awareness and training in resorting to the rule of law and adopting legal protection and its importance within the criteria and values of population and citizenship for all residents and displaced people. 5-The study provided a number of recommendations. The most prominent are: It is of great importance to enlighten displaced people about the importance of legal protection and its role in spreading peace and social security. Also, the differences between males and females in learning the importance of faith in legal protection should be taken into consideration. The study also recommended the assurance of the belief and knowledge of residents in legal protection before conducting projects aiming to achieve peace and social security, taking into consideration that the faith of residents in the importance of legal protection is an indicator of the success of the peace, security and development process in all societies.
