| 520 | |b Apposition refers to a sequence of units that are constituents at the same grammatical level and they have an identity of reference. It exists in some languages like English and Arabic for emphasis, explanation and equivalence. This study aims at giving full descriptions for apposition in English and Arabic. The procedures followed in the present study include studying apposition in English then in Arabic and then followed by a juxtaposition of apposition in both languages to arrive at some similarities and differences between the two languages in terms of the topic under investigation are arrived at. | ||
