|b This study is about the government readiness to deal with the big data phenomena in Kuwait. The study aims to review the public sector plans and efforts to capitalize on big data. While Kuwait seeks to achieve its vision «Kuwait New 2035» based on seven main pillars: effective government administration, sustainable economy, developed infrastructure, sustainable living infrastructure, high-quality health care, innovative human capital and special global niche. Big data has the potential to support Kuwait's vision and revolutionize the government work. It's important to create a unified big data platform distributed over all government entities. The study also illustrates the challenges faced by the government in achieving its vision and clarifies the role of big data in overcoming the difficulties. In this research, a qualitative approach was used. Senior officials from top management in three government agencies were interviewed. The finding shows that Kuwait public sector not using big data in an efficient way if we compare it with other countries. They need to set up clear policies and procedures for an efficient implementation.
