استهدف المقال عرض التقرير الختامي للمؤتمر السنوي الثالث عشر لمركز تعليم الكبار بجامعة عين شمس والذي تناول العقد العربي لمحو الأمية 2015-2024 توجهات وخطط والمنعقد في القاهرة في الفترة من 14إلى 16 أبريل 2015. سعى المؤتمر إلى تعزيز قدرات الدول العربية في تنفيذ العقد العربي لمحو الأمية وتعليم الكبار. واقتراح آليات جديدة تمكن الدول العربية من تفعيل خططها الوطنية لتنفيذ العقد العربي لمحو الأمية. والاستفادة من التجارب العربية والعالمية في مجال محو الأمية. وإقامة المشروعات المشتركة وتعزيز سبل التعاون لتنفيذ العقد العربي لمحو الأمية وتعليم الكبار. ورفع مستوى كفاءة العاملين في مجال محو الأمية من معلمين ومسئولين عن التخطيط والإدارة لتمكينهم من تنفيذ برامج وتوجهات العقد العربي لمحو الأمية. وتناول المؤتمر عدة محاور منها واقع الأمية في الدول العربية والتجارب العربية والعالمية في مجال محو الأمية وتعليم الكبار والأدوار الجديدة للجامعات ومراكز تعليم الكبار في تنفيذ العقد العربي لمحو الأمية ودور الإعلام في التوعية والحشد لتنفيذ العقد العربي لمحو الأمية. وقدم المؤتمر عدد من التوصيات منها دعوة المؤسسات التشريعية بالدول العربية إلى سن تشريعات تضمن التحاق جميع الطلاب في سن الإلزام بالتعليم ومنع تسرب الطلاب منه لسد منابع الأمية. ودعوة وزارات الإعلام لتبني خطة إعلامية وطنية وعربية من أجل التوعية والحشد لمواجهة مشكلة الأمية الحضارية. ودعوة الحكومات إلى بناء شراكات واسعة بين المؤسسات الحكومية ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني لتنفيذ الخطط الوطنية للعقد العربي لمحو الأمية. ودعوة الدول العربية لتخصيص جزء من ميزانيهما لتغطية نفقات تنفيذ خططها المحلية للقضاء على الأمية خلال هذا العقد.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The aim of this article was to present the final report of the 13th Annual Conference of the Center for Adult Education at Ain Shams University, which dealt with the Arab Literacy Decade 2015-2024, its tendencies and plans, which was held in Cairo from 14th to 16th of April 2015. The conference sought to strengthen the capacities of Arab countries to implement the Arab Decade for Literacy and adult education and propose new mechanisms to enable Arab countries to activate their national plans to apply the Arab Literacy Decade. The research also turned to benefitting from the Arab and international experiences in the field of literacy, establishing common projects and enhancing cooperation to apply the Arab Decade for Literacy and Adult Education. Moreover, it tackled raising the level of efficiency of employees in the literacy field including teachers and officials in charge of planning and management to enable them to apply the programs and instructions of the Arab Decade for Literacy. The conference discussed several axes including illiteracy reality in the Arab countries and Arab and international experiences in literacy and adult education, new roles of universities and adult education centers in the implementation of the Arab Decade for Literacy and the media role in raising awareness and calling up for the application of the Arab Literacy Decade. The conference came out with a number of recommendations, including calling the legislative institutions in the Arab countries to enact legislations that ensure that all students are enrolled in their right age in education and prevent the dropping out of students to block illiteracy sources. It also shed light on calling the ministries of media to adopt a national and Arab media plan for awareness and calling up to confront the problem of civilizational illiteracy. The conference also called governments to build broad partnerships between governmental institutions and civil society institutions to apply the national plans for the Arab Literacy Decade. In addition, it called Arab countries to allocate part of their budget to cover the expenditures of the application of their local plans to eradicate illiteracy during this decade.This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
