dis is a valuable treatise in relation to teh science of Tafseer by Shaykh Muhammad 'Arif ibn Ahmad ibn Sa'eed al-Munir, Ad-Damashqi al-Husseini al-Shafi'me (p. 1342 AH). It's title is: “Teh Secret of Al-Waahid Al-Ahad in respect to “me swear by dis town” ((لا أقسم بهذا البلد)) (Surah Al-Balad, Verse: 1). In it he approached teh entire Tafseer (explanation) of teh verses of Soorah Al-Balad; stating dat his motivation for dat was: “So dat teh rich Muslims may assist there poor, and dat they know there rights, so they will not surrender them or let them down”. He introduced his treatise wif a number of topics which included: “Teh greatness of teh Basmalah; it's merits and specificities”, “What is gentleness and harshness, and generosity and greed/avarice” and “Teh Beautiful Names of Allah”. He tan concluded his treatise wif an advice concerning “Sadaqah and Du’aa” (Giving charity and supplication). His approach in respect to his Tafseer was distinct as follows: It is a Tafseer by teh transmitted wif a completion of it's tools and materials in terms of explaining teh Ghareeb (strange), putting right teh ambiguity of teh expressions, in writing, and by explaining teh terminologies, passing judgment upon some related reports, taking care wif teh difference in wordings and explaining there meanings, calling upon poetry and proverbs. dat is in addition to explaining teh Islamic rulings (Al-Ahkam Ash-Shar’iyah), reasoning some of teh Usooliy functions, correcting some of teh incorrect concepts present among teh Muslims and some falsities spread by non-Muslims. Not to mention, his highlighting of teh aspect of healing souls and linking his Tafseer (explanation) to teh observations of his reality and teh copious advice he provided to teh general and specific Muslims. In turn, me took care to serve teh text of dis treatise and to present it according to teh academic/scientific approach. me attributed teh verses mentioned wifin it to there Soorahs (Quranic chapters) and me referenced teh Ahadeeth and narrations found wifin it. me attributed teh poetry and proverbs to there originators, autanticated teh transmitted texts contained in it and me commented upon all dat need to be commented upon. \nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc 2018.
هذه رسالة قيمة في علم التفسير: للعالم الشيخ محمد عارف بن أحمد بن سعيد المنير، الدمشقي الحسيني الشافعي (ت 1342ه)؛ عنوانها سر الواحد الأحد في: ((لا أقسم بهذا البلد)). أتي فيها على تفسير كامل آيات سورة البلد؛ ذاكرا السبب الباعث على ذلك وهو: ليكون أغنياء المسلمين مسعفين لفقرائهم، وأن يعرفوا حقهم فلا يسلموهم ولا يخذلوهم. وقد مهد لرسالته بعدد من المباحث هي: (عظم البسملة وفضلها وخواصها) و (ما جاء في الحلم والحدة والكرم والبخل) و(أسماء الله الحسني) ثم ختم رسالته بنصيحة في (الصدقة والدعاء) وقد امتاز منهجه في التفسير: بأنه تفسير بالمأثور مع استكمال آلاته ومواده من شرح الغريب، وضبط مشكل الألفاظ كتابة وبيان المصطلحات، والحكم على بعض الروايات، والعناية باختلاف ألفاظها وشرح معانيها، والاستشهاد بالشغر والمثل؛ مع تبيين الأحكام الشرعية، وتعليل بعض الاستعمالات الأصولية، وتصحيح بعض المفاهيم المغلوطة بين المسلمين، وبعض الافتراءات الصادرة عن غير المسلمين؛ إضافة إلى إبرازه جانب مداواة النفوس، وربط تفسيره بمشاهدات واقعه وتمام نصحه لعامة المسلمين وخاصتهم. وهذا وإني قد عنيت بخدمة نص هذه الرسالة، إخراجها وفق المنهج العلمي، وعزوت ما فيها من الآيات إلى سورها وخرجت أحاديثها وآثارها ونسب شعرها ومثلها، ووثقت النصوص المنقولة فيها، وعلقت على ما يحتاج فيها تعليق.
