The aim of the research is to identify the challenges that the decision-makers face in obtaining the necessary information for decision-making in Omani economic institutions. The research used the qualitative approach inductive to achieve its objectives. The research group consisted of 11 government economic institutions. The open interview was used for 30 officials from different decision-makers. The results of the research showed that the bureaucracy and the complex and long working procedures are one of the most important challenges which face the decision makers in obtaining the necessary information for decision making, which delays the arrival of information. This leads the decision makers to rely on the available information which may be outdated or inaccurate. The research recommended the establishment of the national programs for all the state institutions, especially the economic ones, aimed at increasing the awareness of the employees of the importance of information and their role in the decision-making and the strategic planning, and activate and increase the coordination between the various economic institutions in the Sultanate, especially in the exchange of the information and making it available, and training the staff in the economic institutions on how to benefit from the regional and the international research centers, as well as the statistical centers, which are often available on the Internet..This abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018
هدف البحث إلى الكشف عن التحديات التي تواجه متخذي القرار في حصولهم على المعلومات اللازمة لاتخاذ القرارات في المؤسسات الاقتصادية العمانية. واستخدم البحث المنهج النوعي الاستقرائي لتحقيق أهدافها. وتكونت مجموعة البحث من 11 مؤسسة اقتصادية حكومية. وتم استخدام المقابلة المفتوحة ل 30 مسؤولا من متخذي القرار تنوعت مسمياتهم الوظيفية. وأظهرت نتائج البحث إلى أن البيروقراطية وإجراءات العمل المعقدة والطويلة من أهم التحديات التي تواجه متخذي القرار في الحصول على المعلومات اللازمة لاتخاذ القرار مما يؤخر وصول المعلومة. وهذا يدفع أصحاب القرار إلى الاعتماد على المعلومات المتوفرة وقد تكون قديمة أو غير دقيقة. وأوصى البحث بضرورة إنشاء برامج وطنية لجميع مؤسسات الدولة وخاصة الاقتصادية منها تهدف إلى زيادة وعي الموظفين بأهمية المعلومات ودورها في اتخاذ القرار والتخطيط الاستراتيجي. وتفعيل وزيادة التنسيق بين مختلف المؤسسات الاقتصادية بالسلطنة وبخاصة في تبادل المعلومات وإتاحتها. وتدريب الموظفين في المؤسسات الاقتصادية على كيفية الاستفادة من المراكز البحثية الإقليمية والدولية. وكذلك مراكز الإحصاء المتوافر غالباً على شبكة الإنترنت. كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
