المستخلص: هدفت الندوة إلى بيان حرية الفكر. وتناولت الندوة مفهوم الحرية وأهميتها، الفكر العربي المعاصر، العلاقة بين الفكر والحرية، معوقات الفكر الحر، رؤية مستقبلية لحرية الفكر، وأسفرت نتائج الندوة عن سرد معوقات الفكر الحر ومنها استبداد السلطة وطغيانها مما يشكل عائقا جوهريا للفكر الحر، سيادة التيار غير العقلاني ورفض التعامل مع المعرفة والتعليم الحديث بمفهوم عصري يعتمد العقل والتحليل المنطقي، الحنين الجارف إلى الماضي والركون إلى سلطة فكرية يحكمها المورث الاجتماعى نستمدها من سجل الأقدمين، الفقر والعوز فكيف نتوقع ممن هو منهمك من البحث عن لقمة العيش أن يتسنى له أن يفكر في الحرية، قلة الوعى بمفهوم الحرية وأهميتها وغياب الكاتب العربي الذى يمكن اعتباره أحد قادة الفكر في المجتمع. وتوصلت الندوة إن الحرية هي أن تكون قادرا على القيام بكل ما لا يتعارض مع النظام أو الآداب العامة وفق تعريف القانون الدستوري تتوافق مع الأنظمة والقوانين السائدة وهي مطلب فردى وجماعي لكل الناس وتكون مقرونة بالمسئولية. وأوصت الدراسة بضرورة تطوير المعرفة العلمية المبنية على الشك والعلانية في التفسير وهذا يتطلب تغييرا جذريا في مناهج التعليم التي تعتمد على الحفظ والتلقين والاتجاه إلى مناهج تعليمية تسعى إلى خلق جيل عقلاني صاحب فكر نقدي تنويري يستنبط الأحكام والمفاهيم بطريقة علمية وفق أحدث النظريات وبعيدا عن التعصبات المذهبية والعرقية والأيديولوجية.

The seminar aimed at the explanation of freedom of thought. The seminar discussed the concept of freedom and its importance, contemporary Arab thought, the relation between thought and freedom, the obstacles of free thought, a futuristic vision of freedom of thought. The results of the seminar listed the impediments of free thought, including the tyranny and arbitrariness of power, which constitute a fundamental impediment to free thought, the rule of irrational current and refuse to deal with Knowledge and modern education in a contemporary concept, depends on reason and logical analysis. Huge nostalgia for the past and the relying on the intellectual authority governed by the social heritage we draw from the record of the elderly. Poverty and destitution, how we expect those who are engaged in the search for a living to be able to think about freedom, Aware of the concept of freedom and importance and the absence of an Arab writer who can be considered as one of the leaders of thought in society. The seminar concluded that freedom is to be able to do anything that does not conflict with the system or public morals in accordance with the definition of constitutional law and in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations. It is a personal and collective demand for all people and is accompanied by responsibility. The study recommended the need to develop the scientific knowledge based on the doubt and the rationality in the interpretation. This requires a radical change in the curricula of education, which rely on memorization and dictation and move to educational curricula seeking to create a rational generation of critical thinking enlightenment, draws judgments and concepts in a scientific way according to the latest theories and away from sectarian and ethnic intolerance and ideology.
