المستخلص: هدفت الندوة إلى بيان حرية الفكر. وتناولت الندوة عدة محاور ، تناول المحزر الأول مفهوم الحرية فهي الحالة التي لا يجد فيها أي فرد من الأفراد أي عائق من العوائق لتحقيق أي هدف من الأهداف وأهميتها، أما المحور الثاني أشار إلى الفكر العربي المعاصر ، وعرض المحور الثالث العلاقة بين الفكر والحرية وعلاقة الحرية بالفكر بوصفه نتاجا لعملية التفكير ذاتها، والمحور الرابع عرض معوقات الفكر الحر، واستعرض المحور الخامس رؤية مستقبلية لحرية الفكر. وأسفرت نتائج الندوة أن ماهية الحرية تختلف باختلاف المنظور الأيديولوجي لطبيعة الإنسان وعلاقته بمحيطه. وتوصلت الندوة أن الحرية بمفهومها الشرقي وفى الثقافة العربية الإسلامية لا ترتبط بالفرد بقدر ارتباطها بمجموعة من الأفراد حيث أن معنى الحرية لدينا يشير إلى قائمة من الحقوق المتعلقة بالأسرة أو القبيلة أو الدولة تمنح الثقافة العربية الإسلامية مفهوم الجماعة الأولوية بالقياس إلى مفهوم الفرد فجرائم الشرف تشكل مظهر من مظاهر أولوية حقوق الأسرة على حقوق الفرد. وأظهرت الندوة أن الصدمة لم تكن حضارية بالمعنى العميق لكلمة حضارة ذلك أن الانبهار بأسباب الحضارة الغربية اقتصر على القشور من دون النفاذ إلى الجذور هو انبهار بالمظهر دون العناية بالجوهر أي انه انبهار لم تصاحبه محاولة جادة لترسيخ المنهج العلمى الذي لم تكن أفكار التنوير والثورة الصناعية سوى إحدى ثماره.

The seminar aimed at the explanation of freedom of thought. The seminar dealt with many topics. The first topic dealt with the concept of freedom, which is the situation in which any individual finds no obstacle to achieving any of the goals. The second axis referred to the contemporary Arab thought, the third axis presented the relationship between thought and freedom as the product of the process of thinking itself. The fourth axis presented obstacles to free thought, and the fifth axis reviewed a vision of the future of freedom of thought. The results of the seminar concluded that the nature of freedom vary according to the ideological perspective of human nature and its relationship to its surroundings. The seminar concluded that freedom in its oriental sense and in Arab Islamic culture is not related to the individual as it relates to a group of individuals, since the meaning of our freedom refers to a list of rights related to the family, tribe or state. The Arab Islamic culture prioritize the concept of group on the concept of the individual. The crimes of honor represents the priority of the rights of the family to the rights of the individual. The seminar showed that the shock was not civilized in the deep sense of the word civilization, that the fascination with the causes of Western civilization was limited to the crusts without access to the roots. Which is dazzled with appearance without care of the essence that is not accompanied by serious attempt to establish the scientific approach that the ideas of enlightenment and industrial revolution was not more than few fruits of it.
