المستخلص: هدفت هذه المقالة إلى تحليل استراتيجيات التي اقترحه الكاتب من خلال تصويره التمثيلية لمحاربة الفساد الأكاديمي في الجامعة الخيالية خاصة وفي المنظمات الأكاديمية الأخرى في نيجيريا على وجه عامة. وقد اشتمل هذا الفساد في مسرحية " السيد المحاضر" على حركات دندى (المحاضر) في تطوير الفساد والمساندة الطلبة المفسدين حيث أفشى أسئلة وأجوبة الاختبار لطالبة يدعي تيتي (Titi) كموعدة وعدها إياه لتفوق زملائها في درجات الاختبار، فغشت في الاختبار، وقبضت عليها، ثم فصلت عن الجامعة عبرة للآخرين. أما المحاضر دندى (Dende)، فقد جذب تيتي إلى الفراش ثم حملت ورفض دندى الحمل وأمرها بالإجهاض، ووافقت به وأسقط الحمل والذي أضر رحمها وبالتالي حرمها من الإنجاب طوال حياتها ورفع الوالدان الأمر إلى مخفر الشرطة ومن هناك إلى المحكمة وقضي على دندى بفصله عن العمل كما حكم عليه بالسجن لمدة عشر سنوات مما يدل على أن عقاب المفسدين هو العامل الوحيد لمكافحة الفساد بغض النظر عن مكانة الفاسد في المجتمع.

This article seeks to analyze strategies which the writer has proposed through his dramatic portrayal of the fight against academic corruption in the fictional university in particular and other academic organizations in Nigeria, in general. This corruption revolved, in the theatrical play “Mr Lecturer”, around the movements of Dende (the lecturer) in respect to the development of corruption and assisting corrupting students, in the case where he distributed exam questions and answers to a female student called Titi, as a fulfilment of a promise to her in respect to her classmates accomplishing excellence in their exam grades. And so they cheated in the exam, were caught and then expelled from the school as a lesson to others. As for the lecturer (Dende), then he drew Titi to his bed, she became pregnant and Dende rejected the pregnancy and commanded her to have an abortion. She agreed and aborted which damaged her womb and made her permanently infertile as a result. The parents raised the matter to the police station. It was then raised to the court and Dende was punished by being fired from his job and was sentenced to serve a ten-year prison sentence. All of this indicating that punishing those involved in corruption represents the only effective factor in respect to combatting corruption regardless of the standing of the corrupter in society.
