يعالج هذا البحث مسألتين مهمتين: الأولى: نشأة فكرة الأصل اللغوي عند القدماء والمحدثين. والأخرى: تطبيقات هذه الفكرة عند الدكتورة بنت الشاطئ – رحمها الله-. نريد بالأصل اللغوي: المعنى الذي يتحقق تحققاً علمياً في كل الاستعمالات المصوغة من جذر لغوي معين. إن إلقاء نظرة تأريخية على الأصل اللغوي تبدو ضرورية؛ لأنها تعطينا تصوراً مهماً عن هذه الفكرة التي امتدت جذورها حيث الأصول الأولى للغة بدءاً من الخليل بن أحمد الفراهيدي (ت 175ه) الذي جسدها في كتابه العين إذ أقامه على وفق نظام التقليبات، الذي هدف منه إلى حصر ألفاظ اللغة العربية، مروراً باللغويين الذين أوقدوا الجذوة الأولى لها، فوضعوا مؤلفاتهم، وذكروا آراءهم بهذا الشأن، بما يبين لنا عمق التراث العربي وأصالته، وصولاً إلى المحدثين الذين أعادوا الحياة إلى هذه المسألة ووضعوا على وفقها مؤلفات مهمة في ألفاظ القرآن الكريم. وقد وصفت بنت الشاطئ النهج الذي سلكته في تفسيرها بأنه يقوم على التناول الموضوعي الذي يفرغ لدراسة الموضوع الواحد فيه، فيجمع كل ما في القرآن منه، ويهتدي بمألوف استعماله للألفاظ والأساليب بعد تحديد الدلالة اللغوية لكل ذلك.. وهو منهج يختلف والطريقة المعروفة في تفسير القرآن، إذ إنه يجعلنا نتلمس الدلالة اللغوية الأصلية التي تعطينا حس العربية للمادة في مختلف استعمالاتها الحسية والمجازية، ثم تخلص للمح الدلالة القرآنية باستقراء كل ما في القرآن من صيغ اللفظ، وتدبر سياقها الخاص في الآية والسورة وسياقها العام في القرآن كله. إن هذا البحث محاولة للتعرف على طريقة جديدة في تفسير القرآن الكريم سلكتها بنت الشاطئ في تفسيرها، تحيلنا إلى منهج جديد لفهم القرآن...
