This study investigates the motivations for watching Turkish-dubbed TV series among a sample of (300) Emiratis and Arab residents of United Arab Emirates. It also examines the effect of intensive Turkish-dubbed TV viewing on the perceptions and attitude UAE citizens have regarding the Turkish people, and toward Turkey. The effects of being an active audience and having motivations were examined as intervening variables. Age, gender, and nationality were the control variables. The Factor Analysis of the motivations revealed five factors for watching the Turkish TV series. The results showed that respondents who watch Turkish-dubbed TV series more frequently tend to perceive the Turkish people as being well-educated civilized, and generous. Also, it was found that the lower the age and the education level, the more time respondents spent watching Turkish-dubbed TV series. There was a significant negative correlation between intensive watching of dubbed Turkish TV series and the respondents' Perception of Turkish people. Females tend to watch Turkish TV series more often than males; nevertheless, the males have a more positive perception toward Turkish people than females.
