المستخلص: Through research, we seek to explore the determinants of women's participation in agricultural and non-agricultural activities. In rural areas, the survey data were collected from 678 rural women from western Algeria, using the probability model to estimate the contribution of all factors to rural women's participation in agricultural and non-agricultural activities.
The results indicate that the age of women starting from 5 years, and the different social groups of heads of household (excluding farmers) with two or more children, have a significant negative impact on women's participation in economic activities. The level of education of rural women has a positive impact on women's participation in economic activities.

Cet article est un effort pour explorer les déterminants de la participation des femmes dans les activités agricoles et non agricoles. Les données de l'enquête recueillies auprès de 678 femmes rurales vivant à l’ouest algérien. Un modèle "Probit" a été utilisé pour estimer la contribution de chaque déterminant sur la participation des femmes rurales
aux activités agricoles et non agricoles. Les résultats indiquent que l'âge de la femme à partir de 35 ans, la catégorie socio-professionnelle du chef de ménage (sauf la catégorie agriculteur) et le nombre d’enfants (à partir de deux) ont un impact négatif et significatif sur la participation des femmes dans les activités économiques. Considérant que, le niveau d’études a une influence positive sur la participation des femmes dans les activités économiques.

نسعى من خلال البحث لاستكشاف العوامل المحددة لمشاركة المرأة في الأنشطة الزراعية وغير الزراعية. في المناطق الريفية حيث إن بيانات المسح تم جمعها من 678 امرأة ريفية من الغرب الجزائري واستخدم بذلك نموذج الاحتمالية لتقدير مساهمة كل المحددات على مشاركة المرأة الريفية في الأنشطة الزراعية وغير الزراعية.
وتشير النتائج إلى أن عمر المرأة ابتداء من 5 سنة، والفئات الاجتماعية المختلفة لرب الأسرة (باستثناء فئة المزارعين) التي لها عدد أطفال اثنين أو أكثر يكون لها تأثير سلبي وكبير على مشاركة المرأة في الأنشطة الاقتصادية. في حين أن مستوى التعليم للمرأة الريفية لديها تأثير إيجابي على مشاركة المرأة في الأنشطة الاقتصادية.
