المستخلص: هدف البحث: معرفة مدى قيام طلاب ثالث ثانوي في مدينة الرياض بواجبات المواطنة تجاه أنفسهم، وتجاه المواطنين والمقيمين المسلمين، وتجاه المقيمين غير المسلمين، وتجاه الوطن، واستخدم المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وتكون مجتمع البحث من جميع الطلاب السعوديين في الصف الثالث الثانوي في المدارس الثانوية العامة، النهارية، الحكومية في مدينة الرياض التابعة لوزارة التربية والتعليم وعددهم (8381) طالباً، واختيرت العينة بالطريقة الطبقية العشوائية بنسبة (10%) من المتجمع الأصلي أي ما مجموعة (864) طالباً، واستخدم مقياس المواقف أداة للبحث، والذي تم بناؤه الغرض، وكانت أبرز النتائج هي:
1_ طلاب ثالث ثانوي في مدينة الرياض يقومون بواجبات المواطنة بصورة عامة.
2_ طلاب ثالث ثانوي في مدينة الرياض يقومون بواجبات المواطنة التفصيلية تجاه أنفسهم، وتجاه المقيمين غير المسلمين، وتجاه المواطنين والمقيمين المسلمين، وتجاه الوطن.
3_ جاء ترتيب محاور الواجبات حسب قيام طلاب ثالث ثانوي بها كالتالي: الأول: واجبات المواطنة وتجاه النفس، الثاني: واجبات المواطنة تجاه المقيمين غير المسلمين، الثالث: واجبات المواطنة تجاه المواطنين والمقيمين المسلمين، الرابع: واجبات المواطنة تجاه الوطن.
وكانت أبرز التوصيات ما يلي:
1-إعادة صياغة مادة التربية الوطنية بحيث تركز موضوعاتها على إكساب الطلاب مهارات القيام بواجبات المواطنة في جوانبها المختلفة.
2-البحث عن الأسباب التي أدت إلى تقصير الطلاب في بعض الواجبات، والعمل على إزالتها.
3-فتح قنوات الحوار مع الشباب المعرفة موقفهم من واجبات المواطنة، وتشخيص الخلل لديهم، والعمل على علاجه.
4-على العاملين في المؤسسة التعليمية أن يعود ورهم في إكساب الطلاب مهارات القيام بواجبات المواطنة، وخاصة ما يتعلق بالقدوة الصالحة.
5-اتحاد مؤسسات المجتمع في العمل على تحفيز الطلاب للقيام بواجبات المواطنة في جوانبها المختلفة.

The objective of this research: to know how many from the students of third year-senior secondary school in Riyadh perform the civic duties towards themselves, towards the citizens, towards Muslim residents, towards non-Muslim residents and towards the country. The research used the descriptive survey methodology. The research's sample consisted of (8381) third year-senior secondary school's Saudi students of Governmental Public secondary day schools, Riyadh, under the Ministry of Education. The sample was selected in random class manner by an average of (10%) of the original sample which was a group of (864) students. The research used the scale of positions as a search tool which was built for the purpose, the more prominent results were:
1. The students of third year-senior secondary school in Riyadh perform the duties of citizenship in general.
2. The students of third year-senior secondary school in Riyadh perform detailed civic citizenship duties towards themselves, towards non-Muslim residents, towards Muslim citizens and residents and towards the country.
3. The axes of duties according to the performance of third year-senior secondary school in Riyadh were classified as follows: First: duties of the citizenship and towards themselves. Second: duties of the citizenship towards non-Muslim residents. Third: duties of the citizenship towards citizens and Muslim residents. Fourth: duties of the citizenship towards the nation.
The most prominent recommendations were as follows:
1. Civic education should be redesigned so that its topics focus on equipping the students with the skills which simplify the performance of the duties of citizenship for them in its different aspects.
2. Reasons which led to the carelessness among the students towards performing some duties should be found out. Necessary measures should be taken to eliminate such reasons.
3. The channels of dialogue with youngsters to knowledge their position on the duties of citizenship should be opened. The obstacles in this regard should be identified and necessary steps should be taken to address them.
4. The staff of the educational institution should play their role in equipping the students with the skills which help them perform the duties of citizenship, especially what is related to the good role model.
5. Union of Community Institutions in working to motivate the students to perform the duties of citizenship in its various aspects.
