This article will try to uncover the generic confusion posed by the novel (disaster of the seventh night after the thousand) in a journey to find its identity as a literary text at a time when it gamble to enter the history, and because the novel attempted to display problematic of the Arabic generic novel by trying to release itself from the genre (the novel) in order to preserve its identity as a discourse, across tracing back its historical origins which exists in the history of the Arabic narratology, to be text ranging in between history and literature, between the report of the forgotten history, and the conversion of the official history to literature. Therefore, this Article will seek to highlight the common features between the novel and the ancient Algerian narration represented by (Manama) and (Arabian nights).
