الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله وعلى آلة وصحبه وسلم، اتبع الباحث لدراسة هذا الموضوع المنهج الاستقرائي والوصفي، وذلك بتتبع أصول قراءة أبي جعفر المدني في المراجع المعتمدة وتوجيهها، ودراستها دراسة علمية وفق ما هو متبع في البحوث العلمية. وقسم الباحث هذه الدراسة إلى تمهيد ومبحثين، تناول في التمهيد: التعريف بكلمة الأصول والقراءات والتوجيه، وفي المبحث الأول: تناول: ترجمة أبي جعفر وفيه ثلاثة مطالب: الأول: مولده، اسمه، نسبه، شيوخه، تلاميذه، والثاني: شمائله، وثناء العلماء عليه، ووفاته، والثالث: سنده في القراءة وأشهر من روى عنه، وفي المبحث الثاني: تناول أصول قراءة الإمام أبي جعفر المدني من طريق الدرة -جمع وتوجيه من البسملة حتى باب ياءات الزوائد. وفي الخاتمة: تناول: أهم النتائج والتوصيات، والمصادر والمراجع. وفيما يلي: أهم النتائج التي تضمنته الدراسة: 1- أن أبا جعفر المدني من جلة التابعين، إمام أهل المدينة في القراءة. 2- انفرد بإخفاء النون الساكنة والتنوين عند الخاء والغين. 3- نقل عنه ضم ميم الجمع وصلته بالواو، وقصر المنفصل، وتوسط المتصل. 4- أخذ بالفتح عموما، فلم تؤثر عنه الإمالة في أي حرف وأخذ بعدم الهمز الذي يأخذ به أهل المدينة، قبل سماعهم من مسلم بن جندب الهذلي. 5- كان يسهل الهمزتين مع ألف الإدخال، وإذا كان الهمز مفردا فإنه يأخذ بالإبدال. 6- وافقت قراءته رواية قالون في اللامات، والراءات، وفي أغلب ياءات الإضافة والزوائد كما وافقه في إسكان هاء الضمير.
