المستخلص: This research presents a new perspective for studying coins in terms of civilization, by analyzing the inscriptions and figures inscribed on coins, connecting them with the contemporary historical events. This idea can be clearly materialized by studying the inscriptions and figures of the Italian Venetian Ducat as a representative of total religious power on one side, versus the French Franc, which shows political domination on the other side. Although the study is concerned with two different kinds of coins from two different regions, it was inevitable to select these two incomparable coins, as the main aim of this research is to show the major importance of studying coins in a way that shows their manifestation of a holistic view of the society. In this regard, coins are not only relating to economic conditions, but also extend to the cultural and civilization state. This is besides clarifying the significance of the analytical study of coins, which can become a valuable source for studying and shedding more light on some important historical events by reflecting and crystallizing such events. Moreover, it is worth mentioning that these two regions have a connected history, as is to be mentioned later
