المستخلص: أن المتتبع للتطورات الاجتماعية والسياسية التي يشهدها الشرق الأوسط في ظل التغيرات التي أعقبت احتلال العراق في 9 نيسان 2003 ودخول قوات التحالف بغداد يقف أمام متغيرات تكاد تعصف بالمنطقة مما ولد صراعا مدمرا بين تمسك المواطن العراقي بقيمه وعاداته المتأصلة في النمط الثقافي السائد في المنطقة العربية ومحاولات فرض الأنموذج الغربي فيها والتي تنظر للمواطنة عبر واقعها وإيديولوجيتها التي تطورت عبر السنين والتي تكاد تختلف كثيرا مع مفهوم المواطنة في المنطقة العربية وهنا نرى الأجيال الشابة في العراق تتأرجح بين عدة مسارات نتيجة للتحولات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية التي أعقبت الاحتلال مما تركت أثارها المدمرة في مفهوم الانتماء والهوية وتماسك الوحدة الوطنية وشيوع ثقافة العنف وتفاقم مشكلة الاغتراب والهجرة وتراجع دور الدولة والحركات السياسية في تدعيم قيم المواطنة والمساواة بين الناس مما جعل من موضوع المواطنة يطفو على سطح الإحداث كقضية وجود وحياة مقابل تفتت وضياع الثوابت التاريخية المتعلقة بالوطن والمواطنة والهوية. وعليه فأن مشكلة البحث الحالي تبرز في التساؤل التالي: ما علاقة الاغتراب عن الذات والاتجاه نحو الهجرة لدى من طلبة الجامعة المقبلين على التخرج؟

The one who has followed the social and political developments which the Middle East is witnessing in light of the changes which followed the occupation of Iraq on the 9th of April 2003 and the entry of the coalition forces into Baghdad, stands before changes that almost raged over the region. It gave birth to a devastating conflict between the Iraqi citizen adhering to his values and customs deeply rooted in the cultural mode prevailing in the Arab region and the attempts to impose the Western model in within it, which looks to the citizenship through the lens of its reality and ideology, which has evolved over the years, and which is almost very different with the concept of citizenship in the Arab region. Now we see the younger generations in Iraq oscillate between several tracks as a result of the economic and social transformations that followed the occupation, which left their devastating effects on the concept of belonging and identity, the cohesion of national unity, the spread of a culture of violence and the aggravation of the problem of alienation and migration. That was accompanied by the state and political movements neglecting their roles in respect to strengthening the values of citizenship and equality among people, which has made the subject of citizenship rise to the surface of events as an issue of existence and life in contrast to fragmentation and loss of historical constants related to homeland, citizenship and identity. As such, the problem being addressed by this current research arises from the following question: What is the relationship between alienation and the tendency to emigrate among university students who are nearing graduation?
