المستخلص: للزمن فعل، كما أن له سلطة، تستطيع تغير معالم العالم الموضوعي، الأمر الذي جعل الذات تشعر أنها إمام ذلك المارد الذي لا أحد يستطيع منازلته أو الانتصار عليه. من هنا فان هذا البحث يظهر سلطة الزمن وسطوته كما تعيها ذات فلسفية مبدعة شعريا وأعني بها ذات أبي العلاء المعري، لذلك توزعت قدرة الزمن عبر تمظهرها الزماني في شعر المعري إلى فعلين: فعل زماني يميل إلى العبث واللهو فهو أشبه بالوليد الذي يعبث في التراب ويحطمه غير ميال بما يقع تحت سلطته. وتتعدى ممارسة سلطة الزمن تلك إلى حد السفه في تحطيم الوجود الإنساني فيشبه نهاية الإنسان الذي يقع تحت هذا الفعل الزماني بأنه عبارة عن شظايا زجاج تحطمت، فمن الصعب إعادة سبكها على حد تعبيره. أما النوع الثاني من الفعل الزماني: فهي الممارسة الإيجابية لتلك السلطة حينما يلجأ إلى تثبيت أفعال الإنسان الكبرى، وخصوصا تلك الأفعال التي يقدمها الإنسان السامي؛ لتتخذ من حركة الزمن دورة متجددة ليس باستطاعة سلطة الزمن محوها، إذ أن هذا النوع من الأفعال يختزن ديمومته وخلوده من ذات مفعمة بالخير والجمال، وهو ما جعلها تحتل وجودا في صميم الحركة الزمنية.
أن هذه الرؤية الفلسفية لسلطة الزمن لم تظهر في شعر المعري عبر قراءة مباشرة مع النص، بل جاءت من خلال قراءة تأويلية معمقة لنصه الشعري وهو ملخص ما وقفت عليه هذه الدراسة.

Time has impact, just as it possesses a power, which has the ability to change the features of the objective world, a matter which makes one feel that he is before a defiant force which nobody can struggle against or be triumphant over. Upon this premise, this research shows the power of time and its influence, just as the poetic creative philosophical self is aware of it, and here I am referring to the self of Abu l-‘Alaa Al-Ma’riy. As such, the power of time, through its temporal appearance in the poetry of Al-Ma’riy, was distributed across two acts/impacts. A temporal act that inclines to futility and pleasure. It is most like a newborn who plays around pointlessly in the dirt and breaks it up whilst not being inclined to that which falls under his authority. The exercise of that power of time goes far beyond the extent of its foolishness in respect to the destruction of human existence. That is as the end of the man who falls under this temporal act is similar to fragments of glass that have been shattered, which, in his words, is difficult to mold back together. As for the second of these two acts/impacts: It reflects the positive exercise of that power/authority whenever it resorts to the affirmation of the major acts of man, particularly those acts which the elevated man presents. That is to take from the movement of time a renewed cycle which the authority/power of time cannot erase. That is because this kind of act stores its permanence and immortality from the self which is brimming in goodness and beauty, and this is what makes it occupy a presence within the heart of the movement of time.
This philosophical view of the power/authority of time did not appear in the poetry of Al-Ma'ari through a direct reading of the text. Rather, it came through an in-depth interpretation of his poetic text, which represents a summary of what this study found.
