المستخلص: تتمثل أهمية البحث في إبراز الإنجازات العلمية للأطباء في الأندلس وأثرها على التطور العلمي الأوروبي (منذ عصر الخلافة وحتى نهاية دولة الموحدين) والتي ساهم فيها أطباء الأندلس ممن كان لهم الفضل في تطور طب الأسنان ودراسة مدى استفادة البشرية من تلك الجهود في الطب الحديث. ومن أهم دوافع تلك الدراسة أن التراث الطبي العربي عموماً وطب الأسنان خصوصاً لم يتم دراسته بعد على نحو يبرز دور هذا التراث الحقيقي في تطوير علم الطب، خصوصاً تأثيره في مرحلة عصر النهضة الأوربية. وحتى الآن لم يتم التعرف إلا على جزء يسير جدا من هذا النتاج الفكري الهام. ولم يأخذ الموضوع حقه من الدراسات الأكاديمية، وبالتالي كان لابد من إفراد دراسة علمية لطب الأسنان في الأندلس وأثره على التطور العلمي الأوروبي. والتي شكلت المنبع الصافي للنهضة الحديثة في الغرب التي نهلت منها النهضة الأوروبية والتي تطورت نحو بداية ظهور طب الأسنان الحديث. ويعمل البحث على توضيح مدى النقلة التي أحدثها هؤلاء العلماء لطب الأسنان، وهو اختصاص فريد قلما ما نجد دراسات قد أفردت لهذا الاختصاص. وكذلك إبراز إسهامات أطباء الأندلس في مجال طب الأسنان، وإلى مدى أثرت دراساتهم في تطور العلوم الطبية بصفة عامة وطب الأسنان بصفة خاصة. وكذلك رصد ما خلفه أطباء المسلمين في الأندلس من ثروة كبيرة في هذا الميدان وابتكروا أشياء متطورة حديثة بعضها لا يزال معمولاً به حتى اليوم. مع غرض ما أسهم به الأطباء الأندلسيون فيما يخص أمراض الأسنان، وطرق علاجها. وإبراز ما قام به أطباء الأندلس من إجراءات للعديد من العمليات الجراحية الخاصة بطب الأسنان. ودراسة تأثيرات الإنجازات العلمية للأطباء في الأندلس على أوروبا ونهضتها، والكشف عما قدموه من الإضافات العلمية لطب الأسنان. وتدور محاور هذه الدراسة حول النقاط التالية: النهضة العلمية في الأندلس وإشعاعها الحضاري، إسهامات علماء الأندلس ف مجال طب الأسنان، تأثيرات الإنجازات العلمية للأطباء في الأندلس على أوروبا ونهضتها، وفي نهاية الدراسة قدمت صياغة لأهم نتائج البحث وتوصياته.

The importance of the research is to highlight the scientific achievements of doctors in Andalusia and their impact on the development of European science (since the age of the Caliphate until the end of Almohad Caliphate) to which the doctors of Andalusia contributed. Those doctors were credited with the development of dentistry and the study of the extent of human utilization of those efforts in the modern medicine. The most important motives of this study is that the Arab medical heritage in general and dentistry in particular have not yet been studied in a way that highlights the role of this real heritage in the development of the science of medicine, especially its impact in the European Renaissance. Till now, only a very small part of this important intellectual product has been identified. The subject did not take its right of academic studies, therefore it was necessary to conduct a scientific study in dentistry in Andalusia and identify its impact on the European scientific development. Hence, it was considered as the net source of modern Renaissance in the West that formed the European Renaissance and was developed towards the emergence of modern dentistry. The research seeks to clarify the extent of the shift that was made by these scientists. It is a unique specialty, which we rarely find studies that have been specified for this specialty. It aims also at highlighting the contributions of Andalusian doctors in the field of dentistry, and the extent to which their studies influenced the development of medical sciences in general and dentistry in particular. Moreover, it monitors the legacy of the Muslim doctors in Andalusia from great fortune in this field and innovated sophisticated things, some of which are still in action until today, recognizing the contribution of the Andalusian doctors regarding dental diseases, and methods of treatment. Furthermore, the research illustrates what the doctors of Andalusia had done in many of the operations of dentistry, studies the effects of the scientific achievements of doctors in Andalusia on Europe and its rise, and uncovers the scientific additions to dentistry. The study axes focus on the following points: the scientific renaissance in Andalusia and its cultural enlightenment, contributions of Andalusian scientists in the field of dentistry, and the effects of the scientific achievements of doctors in Andalusia on Europe and its rise. At the end of the study, the most important research findings and recommendations were presented.
