المستخلص: حديث "خلق الله آدم على صورته" من الأحاديث التي كثر خلاف أهل العلم في بيان معناها، فقد اختلف في عود الضمير الوارد في قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "على صورته" وسبب هذا الاختلاف هو: تقطيع جمله، ورواية كل جملة على أنها حديث مستقل. والحق أنه لا يمكن فهمه إلا بإعادة جمله في السياق الذي ذكرت فيه.
وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن جملة "خلق الله آدم على صورته" وردت في أكثر من حديث، والضمير الوارد فيها يتغير معناه بتغير السياق الذي ورد فيه.
كما توصلت الدراسة إلى أن الخلاف الوارد بين العلماء في عود الضمير خلاف يتسع لأهل السنة والجماعة.
فمن أعاد الضمير على الله تعالى فظاهر النص يحتمل ذلك، ومن أعاده على آدم فله حجته ودليله.
أما من أعاد الضمير على المضروب فعنى حديث آخر وهو قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إذا ضرب أحدكم فليجتنب الوجه، فإن الله خلق آدم على صورته".
وقد احتج أصحاب القول الأول القائلين بعود الضمير على الله تعالى بحديث: "خلق الله آدم على صورة الرحمن" وهو حديث لا يصح، بل هو معلول، فبقي الأمر محتملا بين الفريقين.

The hadith “Allah created Adam in His own image” is one of the hadiths about which there are many conflicts among scholars in the explanation of its meaning. The conflict is about the attribution of the pronoun in the word of the Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) "على صورته" (in his own image). The reason for this conflict is the fragmentation of its sentences and narrating each sentence as a separate hadith. The truth is that it could only be understood by repeating the sentences in the context in which it was mentioned.
The study found that the sentence "God created Adam in His own image" appeared in more than one hadith, and the meaning of the pronoun contained therein changes according to the context in which it was mentioned.
The study also found that the dispute between the scholars in the referent of the pronoun is a widening conflict among the "people of the sunnah and the community"
Those who say that the referent of the pronoun is Allah the Almighty they go with the apparent text and those who say that the referent of the pronoun is Adam they have their own argument and evidence.
With regard to those who say that the referent of the pronoun is the "beaten one", they mean another hadeeth, in which the Prophet - peace be upon him - says: "When anyone of you hit someone, he should avoid his face for Allah created Adam in His own image.
The people of the first group who say that the referent of the pronoun is Allah the Almighty they present in evidence the following hadith: "God created Adam in the image of Rahman (the most merciful)" which is an incorrect hadith which is also weak, so the issue remained possible between the two groups.
