المستخلص: The study is aimed at investigating the sports and its rules in the light of Islamic Educational Norms. It shows that words carrying the sense of playing and its various derivations are mentioned in Holy Qur' n and ad th and these draw our attention to certain indications with regard to the conception of sports in Islamic Persepective. The Islamic education lays down some regulations for proper attires for the players, in addition to the requirement of morals to be observed by the players and the harmful things that should be avoided. There are also other purposeful disciplinary directions such as: adherence to the real objective of playing, namely strengthening and energizing the body and human physical and mental health. The writer recommends for the education process leaders in all stages to be observant of these disciplinary directions in introducing the sport that are to be included in the school and in university curricula.
