المستخلص: This paper highlights the fundamental importance of the esoteric vision of the f masters in forming as holistic and indulgent vision of the sciences of Shar'ah. The writer relies on authentic earliest sources to argue that the graduul decline of these sciences made them a dry set of legalistic or polemical arguments detached from the intense involvement of its practitioners while the ultimate objective of all belief and virtuous conduct is indeed a whole-hearted submission to All h. Hence the criticism of Im m Ghaz I and others on the clinical treatment of issues in the matters of creed and conduct. The writer underlines the dire need of restoring the wholesome expanses of the sciences of Shar 'ah under the guidence of profound unsights of the masters of Ta awwuf.
