المستخلص: Le présent papier traite de la question du plurilinguisme, qui est, comme on le sait, un fait social dans plusieurs pays. Nous aborderons sa nature, ainsi que les principaux facteurs favorisant son développement. Pour ce faire, il semble, d’abord, judicieux de faire un tour d’horizon explorant certaines expériences relatives aux pays ayant de vieilles traditions avec le plurilinguisme. L’étude a ensuite pour but de mettre en évidence le traitement du plurilinguisme en tant que réalité sociolinguistique. En clair, il sera question de voir la nature des approches adoptées en réponse à la coexistence des différences linguistiques dans une zone géographique. Enfin, nous évoquerons le contexte linguistique algérien, qui renferme un ensemble de caractéristiques propres à lui. Ce dernier élément de la recherche mettra en lumière l’apport positif du plurilinguisme afin de mieux l’exploiter dans le système éducatif. Ces finalités seront discutées loin de la stérilité du conflit linguistique qui n’engendre qu’une double perte: de temps et d’énergie.

This paper deals with plurilingualism. In fact, plurilingualism concerns many countries in the world. We will identify its nature and discuss the main reasons that made it as a fact. It seems interesting to examine models of countries which have long and different plurilingualism experiences. The objective is double: firstly, to see how they treat this sociolinguistic reality, and secondly to distinguish their solutions to the coexistence of different languages in the same area. Then, we will analyze the linguistic context in Algeria, because it has its own characteristics. We will therefore try to understand to what extent plurilingualism can be an advantage on the one hand, and to reach an efficient didactic system, on the other. The idea is to get an educational system which can be far from the sterile language conflict. Nevertheless, this sort of conflict cannot be meaningful in any way, except being a waste of time and energy.

تنظر الورقة البحثية في مسألة التعدد اللغوي، من حيث إنه ظاهرة موجودة في الكثير من دول العالم؛ فتنطلق من تحديد مفهومه وطبيعته، وبواعث حدوثه المختلفة. ويبدو أنه لمن المفيد للدراسة التعريج على تجارب بعض الدول التي تعرف ظاهرة التعدد اللغوي، بغية الوقوف على مدى تعاملها مع هذه الظاهرة الاجتماعية/اللسانية، وكيفية معالجتها للاختلافات اللغوية المتعايشة في بقعة جغرافية واحدة. ثم سنأتي على خوض الواقع اللغوي في الجزائر، لما يتميز به من سمات لازمة له، وهذا من أجل النظر في أهم سبل توظيف التعدد اللغوي إيجابيا من أجل نظام تعليمي أكثر نجاعة وفاعلية، بعيدا عن ما يسمى بالصراع اللغوي العقيم، الذي لا ينجم عنه إلا إهدار الطاقات والوقت.
