المستخلص: This article aims to shed light on the use of Machine Translation in translating texts from and into Arabic, and its compatibility with the requirements of translation in general. Particularly, it focuses on the comparison between Machine Translation that uses computer programs and electronic dictionaries of all kinds, and human translation that depends on paper dictionaries and the skill of the translator. At the same time, the article seeks to highlight the role of communication technologies in developing Machine Translation from and into Arabic, and to facilitate its use by Internet users at the expense of the content of the original text message, the quality of the translation text, in addition to answering questions regarding the efficiency of Machine Translation, and how it respects the rules of translation like redrafting the original text message, and acquaintance of the various contexts of text. This article touches on the following question: Can the electronic mind replace the human mind, and produce an acceptable translation text with meaning and vocabulary?

Le présent article vise à jeter la lumière sur l’étendue d’utilisation de la traduction automatique des textes de/vers la langue arabe. Il se focalise en particulier sur la comparaison entre la traduction dictionnaires électroniques, et la traduction dite humaine qui fait appel aux dictionnaires version papier et au génie du traducteur. En même temps, cet article cherche à mettre en exergue le rôle des technologies de communication dans le développement de la traduction automatique de/vers la langue arabe, et la facilité de son utilisation chez les internautes, au détriment du contenu du texte original, et la qualité du texte de traduction.
Nous tenterons de répondre aux questions relatives à l’efficacité de la traduction automatique caractérisée par la rapidité de réalisation du travail, et son respect des règles de traduction telles, la reformulation de l’idée du texte original et la compréhension des différents contextes. Nous tenterons également de répondre à la préoccupation suivante :
Est-il possible pour le cerveau électronique de remplacer le cerveau humain, et de produire un texte de traduction acceptable tant au niveau sémantique qu’au niveau linguistique?


يهدف هذا المقال إلى تسليط الضوء على استخدام الترجمة الآلية في ترجمة النصوص من اللغة العربية وإليها، ومدى تطابقها مع شروط الترجمة على العموم. وتركز بصفة خاصة على المقارنة بين الترجمة الآلية التي تستعمل البرامج الحاسوبية والقواميس الالكترونية بمختلف أنواعها وبين الترجمة البشرية التي تعتمد على القواميس الورقية ومهارة المترجم. ويسعى المقال في الوقت نفسه إلى إبراز دور تكنولوجيات الاتصال في تطوير الترجمة الآلية من اللغة العربية وإليها، وتسهيل استخدامها لدى مستعملي الأنترنيت على حساب مضمون رسالة النص الأصلي، ونوعية نص الترجمة، إضافة إلى الإجابة عن تساؤلات تخص نجاعة الترجمة الآلية، ومدى احترامها لقواعد الترجمة كإعادة صياغة رسالة النص الأصلي، والإلمام بسياقات النص المختلفة. ويدور هذا المقال حول السؤال الآتي: هل يمكن للعقل الالكتروني أن يحل محل العقل البشري، وينتج نص ترجمة مقبول معنى ولفظا؟
