|f The study sought to identify the degree to which students of the Faculty of Education, Kuwait University, in the field of Islamic education and science, possess critical thinking skills and the extent to which students belonging to these disciplines exercise these skills, such as analysis, extrapolation, evaluation, reasoning and concluding. The study’s sample included (151) students, including (22) male students and female (129) students from the College of Education, Kuwait University, the department of the specialization of Islamic Sciences and Education for the academic year 2013-2014. The California Critical Thinking Skills Test (2000) was applied as a tool to measure the levels of thinking skills after giving a final judgment on the test and after confirming its characteristics and the extent of its suitability for the desired scientific research. The results showed a significant decrease in the acquisition of critical thinking skills by students of the Faculty of Education, Kuwait University, specialized in Islamic science and education. The study pointed out that the average for the general secondary school and the cumulative rate at the university is not considered to be an indicator of the acquisition of critical thinking skills by students. The study also showed that there are significant differences in favour of males (5.28) versus females (4.59) in critical thinking skills — evaluation and conclusion at 0.036. The study also showed that there is a significant relationship between the secondary school rate and the cumulative average at the university (0.40), which is at 0.001. The study came up with a number of recommendations, including the need to emphasize teachers at the academic levels and the university stage by activating educational activities that will enhance students' exercise of higher and critical thinking skills, and encourage the holding of training courses for male and female teachers to employ thinking skills in a wider way in the fields of teaching.\nThis abstract translated by Dar AlMandumah Inc. 2018

|a سعت الدراسة إلى تعرف درجة امتلاك طلبة كلية التربية جامعة الكويت في تخصص التربية الإسلامية والعلوم لمهارات التفكير الناقد، ومدى ممارسة الطلبة المنتمين لهذه التخصصات لهذه المهارات، من تحليل واستقراء وتقويم واستدلال واستنتاج، وقد شملت عينة الدراسة (151) طالبا منهم : (22) طالباً و(129) طالبة من تخصص العلوم والتربية الإسلامية من كلية التربية جامعة الكويت - للعام الجامعي 2013/2014. وقد تم تطبيق اختبار كاليفورنيا لقياس مهارات التفكير الناقد (2000) California Critical Thinking Skills كأداة لقياس مهارات التفكير بمستوياتها، وذلك بعد تحكيم الاختبار والتأكد من خصائصه ومدى مناسبته للبحث العلمي المنشود. وقد أظهرت النتائج انخفاضاً ملحوظاً في امتلاك طلبة كلية التربية، جامعة الكويت لتخصصي العلوم والتربية الإسلامية لمهارات التفكير الناقد، وأوضحت الدراسة أن المعدل للثانوية العامة والمعدل التراكمي بالجامعة لا يعد مؤشراً لامتلاك الطلبة والطالبات لمهارات التفكير الناقد. كما أظهرت الدراسة أن هناك فروقاً ذات دلالة إحصائية لصالح الذكور (5.28) مقابل الإناث (4.59) في مهارات التفكير الناقد -التقويم والاستنتاج عند مستوى دلالة (0.036). كما أوضحت الدراسة وجود علاقة دالة بين معدل الثانوية والمعدل التراكمي في الجامعة (0.40)، وهو دال عند مستوى (0.001). وخرجت الدراسة بعدد من التوصيات، من أبرزها: ضرورة التأكيد على معلمي المراحل الدراسية، والمرحلة الجامعية بتفعيل الأنشطة التعليمية التي من شأنها تعزيز ممارسة الطلبة لمهارات التفكير العليا والناقد، وتشجيع عقد الدورات التدريبية للمعلمين والمعلمات، لتوظيف مهارات التفكير الناقد بصورة أوسع في مجالات التدريس.
