تطورت الدراسات النصية محاولة الدخول إلى عالم النص للكشف عن أسراره وإبراز نصيته في أثناء دراسة النصوص في ضوء سياقاتها الداخلية والخارجية وتميزت هذه الدراسات عن غيرها التي سبقتها بتجاوز الجملة كوحدة أساسية للتحليل، وسمي العلم الذي تبني هذه الفكرة: علم اللغة النصي أو لسانيات النص، وهو فرع من فروع علم اللغة، يهتم بدراسة النص بوصفه الوحدة اللغوية الكبرى، وذلك بدراسة جوانب عديدة أهمها الترابط أو التماسك ووسائله وأنواعه، ومنها الاتساق والانسجام والأول يمكن التعرف عليه في النص مباشرة، أما الثاني فهو علاقة مفهومية، والإدراك عليها قد يختلف من قارئ إلى قارئ، ومن اللافت للانتباه، أن القيمة الأهم لعناصر الاتساق هي أنها تساعد على مراقبة العلاقات الدلالية الضمية (الانسجام) والتيسير في فهمها، فهو يمثل العلاقات السطحية للنص، التي تحقق بوجود عناصر لغوية معينة داخل النص، مثل: التكرار، والحذف، والفصل والوصل وغيرها، وأن دوره في نهاية المطاف أن يزود النص استمرارية والتحاما، وهذه العناصر تؤدي دورا فعالا في ضمان ترابط أجزاء النص بعضها ببعض، وصولا إلى إحكام تماسكها، والنص إذا تلاحمت مفرداته، وأحكم سرده، صفت معانيه، وأنجلت. والقرآن الكريم تقرأه من أوله إلى آخره، كأنه أفرغ في سبيكة واحدة، ولا يكاد يكون بين أجزائه تفكك، كأنه عقد منظوم من لألئ فريدة، لذا يمثل التماسك النصي بعدا مهما في دارسة النص القرآني، والوقوف على طبيعة النظام اللغوي المكون والمشكل له، للوصول إلى القيمة الدلالية فيه، ومن هذا الأساس جاء هذا البحث الموسوم (الاتساق وأثره في الخطاب القرآني-قراءة دلالية في قصة النبي سليمان (عليه السلام).
