المستخلص: هدفت الدراسة الكشف عن درجة ممارسة المعلمين للسلوك الانتخابي، والمعايير التي يعتمدونها لاختيار المرشح، ولتحقيق أهداف الدراسة تم تصميم استبانة تكونت من ثلاثة أقسام، تضمن الأول (5) متغيرات مستقلة، وشمل الثاني (10) مظاهر للسلوك الانتخابي، وشمل الثالث: (17) معيارا لاختيار المرشح، وبعد التأكد من صدق وثبات الاستبانة، تم توزيعها على عينة تكونت من (342) معلما ومعلمة، موزعين على ثلاث محافظات (العاصمة والمفرق وإربد)، وأظهرت النتائج أن المعلمين يمارسون مظاهر السلوك الانتخابي بدرجة متوسطة، كما تبين وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية تبعا لمتغير المحافظة ولصالح محافظة المفرق، وتبعا لمتغير الجنس ولصالح الذكور، وتبعا لمتغير الانتماء لمؤسسات المجتمع المدني ولصالح المنتمين. كما أوضحت النتائج أن أهم المعايير التي يعتمدها المعلمون لاختيار المرشح هي: النزاهة، والشخصية القوية والقيادية، والمؤهل العلمي، والتدين، وكانت أقل المعايير أهمية: العمر الأكبر، ورأس المال، والانتماء الحزبي، والجنس (الأنثى)، وقد ظهرت فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية في بعض هذه المعايير باختلاف المتغيرات المستقلة، وفي ضوء النتائج قدمت الدراسة بعض التوصيات الإجرائية المستقبلية.

This study aimed to examine the degree of practicing electoral behavior and the criteria for choosing candidates among teachers. To achieve the goals of the study, a questionnaire was developed that comprised of three sections; the first included (5) independent variables, the second included (10) aspects of the electoral behavior, while the third included (17) criteria for the candidate selection. After checking the validity and reliability of the scale, it was distributed to a sample of (342) teachers, in three governorates (Capital, Mafraq and Irbid). The results revealed that teachers practice the electoral behavior in a moderate degree. There are statistically significant differences due to on the governorate variable, which was in favor of the governorate of Mafraq, and due to the variable of gender; in favor of males, and due to the variable of membership in civil society institutions; in favor of members. The results showed that the most important criteria adopted by teachers for the selection of the candidate are: integrity, strong and leadership personality, academic qualification, and religion. , The least important criteria are: older age, capital, party affiliation, gender (female). on the other hand There are Statistically significant differences appeared in some of these criteria, based on the differences in the independent study variables. In light of the results, the study provided some procedural recommendations.
