ترجع أهمية البحث إلى: محاولة إلقاء الضوء على إمكانية الاستفادة من جماليات فن الكروشيه اليدوي التريكو الآلي والتطريز الآلي لإثراء القيم الجمالية لملابس أطفال مرحلة الطفولة الوسطى (٦- ٩ سنوات). بالإضافة إلى تفعيل دور الصناعات الصغيرة ومساعدتها في استخدام التقنيات المختلفة المستخدمة في البحث بهدف الإفادة منها في مجال سوق العمل. ولقد تم استخدام كلا مما يلي:- ثلاث أنواع من الأقمشة وهي (القطن- الجبردين- الجينز) لعمل تسع فساتين للأطفال لتناسب مرحلة الطفولة الوسطى (٦ -٩ سنوات) وذلك باستخدام ثلاث أنواع من التقنيات وهي (الكروشيه اليدوي- التريكو الآلي- التطريز الآلي) حيث اعتمد البحث على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي والتطبيقي وكانت أدوات البحث عبارة عن الاستبانة للتعرف على آراء السادة المحكمين في التصميمات المنفذة للمحاور الأربعة وهي:- المحور الأول (مدى تحقيق أسس وعناصر التصميم(، المحور الثاني (مدى تحقيق جودة الأداء)، المحور الثالث (مدى تحقيق التميز في تنفيذ التقنية)، والمحور الرابع (مدى مسايرة التقنية المستخدمة مع الموضة والمجتمع). وكان من أهم النتائج التي تم التوصل إليها:- حصول التصميم الثامن على أعلى جودة ممكنة بنسبة 90.56% وذلك بالنسبة لباقي التصميمات، وكذلك حصول التصميم الثاني بمعامل جودة 90.14%، بينما حصل التصميم الخامس علي أقل جودة ممكنة بنسبة 75.28%.
