المستخلص: The topic of the research: This study deals with: the collection and study of the contradictory Hadeeths mentioned in specifying the middle prayer, in the verse which can be translated as : (Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer ) [Baqarah : 238] where there are hadeeths according to their appearance that the middle prayer is the Asr prayer, and others showing that the middle prayer is not the Asr prayer. The objectives of the research: This research aims at collecting these Hadiths, editing them, studying their narrations and verifying their words, and then presenting the doctrines of the scholars in pushing the discrepancies with them, with their reasons and arguments, and then balancing and validating, mentioning my reasons and evidences for validating. The most important results: The number of Hadiths studied was nineteen, ten of which indicated that the middle prayer is the Asr , and the most correct of all is the narration that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said (They (the disbelievers) busied us from performing the Middle prayer, the Asr prayer,). The other nine Hadeeths came with a word which deludes it is not the Asr prayer, and the most correct of these is : the reading narrated direct to the Prophet peace be upon him : (Maintain with care the [obligatory] prayers and [in particular] the middle prayer and the Asr prayer ) and through following-up of these hadeeths, I find that no one has ever collected, studied, and verified its words. According to the researcher, the best way to combine these hadeeths is that : the mothers of the believers – who narrated the reading - “and the Asr prayer” – have combined this reading and that of “ and the middle prayer “ which are two different and separate readings. Thus, the occurrence of the problem. The most important recommendations: The researcher recommends the importance of studying and investigating the confusing narrations that are mentioned in the interpretation of some of the verses of the Noble Quran, which the enemies of Islam often rely on to challenge Islam.

الحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله، وبعد: موضوع البحث : يتناول هذا البحث : جمع ودراسة الأحاديث المتعارضة الواردة في تعيين الصلاة الوسطى، في قوله تعالى: (حَٰفِظُواْ عَلَى ٱلصَّلَوَٰتِ وَٱلصَّلَوٰةِ ٱلۡوُسۡطَىٰ وَقُومُواْ لِلَّهِ قَٰنِتِينَ) [البقرة:238] حيث وردت أحاديث تفيد بظاهرها أن الصلاة الوسطى هي صلاة العصر، ووردت أحاديث أخرى يوهم ظاهرها أن الصلاة الوسطى غير العصر. أهداف البحث: يهدف هذا البحث إلى جمع هذه الأحاديث وتخريجها ودراسة أسانيدها وتحقيق ألفاظها، ثم عرض مذاهب العلماء في دفع التعارض عنها، مع ذكر عللهم وحججهم، ثم الموازنة والترجيح، مع التعليل والاستدلال للترجيح. أهم النتائج: بلغ عدد الأحاديث التي تم دراستها تسعة عشر حديثا، عشرة منها جاءت بأن الصلاة الوسطى هي العصر، وأصحها: أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم شغل يوم الخندق عن صلاة العصر فقال: "شغلونا عن الصلاة الوسطى". وتسعة جاءت بلفظ يوهم أنها غير العصر، وأصحها: القراءة المرفوعة للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: "حافظوا على الصلوات والصلاة الوسطى وصلاة العصر". ومن خلال تتبع هذه الأحاديث تبين لي أنه لم يسبق أن أحدا قام بجمعها ودراستها وتحقيق ألفاظها وبيان الصحيح منها. ويرى الباحث أن أحسن ما يجمع به بين هذه الأحاديث: أن أمهات المؤمنين - اللائي روين قراءة: "وصلاة العصر" - جمعن بين هذه القراءة، وقراءة: "والصلاة الوسطى"، اللتين ها قراءتين مختلفتين، ومنفصلتين، فأوهم جمعهما أنهما قراءة واحدة، فوقع الإشكال. أهم التوصيات: يوصي الباحث بأهمية دراسة وتحقيق الآثار المشكلة الواردة في تفسير بعض آيات القرآن الكريم، والتي غالبا ما يتكئ عليها أعداء الإسلام للطعن في الإسلام.
