مما لا شك فيه ان ظاهرة الارهاب والتطرف واستخدام العنف في المجتمعات بمختلف اشكالها وتجلياتها تشكل ظاهرة مرضية تعبر عن اختلال في التقدير واختلاف في التصور والسلوك، انها مظهر من مظاهر مجانبة الوسطية التي تعد خاصية متميزة نعت الله بها هذه الامة في قوله تعالى ﴿وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلۡنَٰكُمۡ أُمَّة وَسَطا لِّتَكُونُواْ شُهَدَآءَ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَيَكُونَ ٱلرَّسُولُ عَلَيۡكُمۡ شَهِيداۗ﴾ [البقرة: 342] إنها الأمة الوسط التي تشهد على الناس جميعاً فتقيم بينهم العدل والقسط؛ وتضع لهم الموازين والقيم؛ وتبدي فيهم أ ريها فيكون هو الرأي المعتمد؛ وتزن قيمهم وتصوراتهم وتقاليدهم وشعاراتهم فتفصل في أمرها، وتقول: هذا حق منها وهذا باطل وانها للأمة الوسط بكل معاني الوسط سواء من الوساطة بمعنى الحسن والفضل، أو من الوسط بمعنى الاعتدال والقصد، أو من الوسط بمعناه المادي الحسي، ﴿ أُمَّة وَسَطا﴾ في التصور والاعتقاد لا تغلو في التجرد الروحي ولا في الارتكاس المادي ﴿ أُمَّة وَسَطا﴾ في التفكير والشعور، لا تجمد على ما علمت وتغلق منافذ التجربة والمعرفة، ولا تتبع كذلك كل ناعق، وتقلد تقليد القردة المضحك، إنما تستمسك بما لديها من تصورات ومناهج وأصول. ولخطورة الارهاب والعنف على الفرد والمجتمع ومواكبة مع محاور المؤتمر" المحور الديني الخطاب والاعتدال "ارتأينا ان نسلط الضوء على هذه الظاهرة الخطيرة التي زعزعت الامن والاستقرار في المجتمعات الاسلامية ببحث عنوانه" الارهاب اسبابه وعلاجه في ضوء القرآن الكريم " وأثر الوسطية والاعتدال على الفرد والمجتمع، وجاء البحث على مقدمة، وأربعة مباحث، وخاتمة بينا فيها أهم النتائج التي توصل اليها البحث وعلى النحو الاتي: المبحث الاول: مفهوم الارهاب والألفاظ ذات الصلة. المبحث الثاني: أسباب الارهاب. المبحث الثالث: علاجه. المبحث الرابع: أثر الوسطية والاعتدال على الفرد والمجتمع.
