|b This study aims to identify the levels of the self-perception and political participation of Palestinian female prisoners who were released from Israeli prisons, and the relationship between self-perception and their political participation and determining the degree of the variance in differences between self-perception and political participation as per a group of variables (the duration of the period spent in prison, marital status, income). The study samples 100 Palestinian female prisoners who had been freed from Israeli prisons. The two researchers used two tools: 1) the self –perception scale and the political participation scale; both of which were developed by the researchers. The results show that there is an intermediate degree of self-perception and political participation among the sample (58.3% and 53.7% respectively). It also shows that there is significant correlation between the degrees of self-perception and political participation among Palestinian female prisoners. Moreover, the study shows that there are no statistically significant differences on the self-perception scale among the freed Palestinian prisoners as per the three variables (the duration of the period spent in prison, marital status, income). Finally, it shows that there are no statistically significant differences on the political participation scale among the freed Palestinian prisoners as per the three variables, except in the scope (political knowledge), which was influenced by one variable: income, as it was shown especially among those prisoners who did not have any income.

|a هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى معرفة مستوى مفهوم الذات والمشاركة السياسية لدى الأسيرات الفلسطينيات المحررات من السجون الإسرائيلية، والعلاقة بين مفهوم الذات والمشاركة السياسية لديهن، ومعرفة درجة اختلاف الفروق في مفهوم الذات والمشاركة السياسية تبعا لمتغيرات (فترة الاعتقال – الحالة الاجتماعية – الدخل). وأجريت الدراسة على عينة من (100 أسيرة محررة من السجون الإسرائيلية)، وباستخدام مقياسي مفهوم الذات والمشاركة السياسية متوسطة لديهن بنسب مئوية (58.3) و(53.7) على التوالي. كما أوضحت الدراسة وجود علاقة ارتباط ذات دلالة إحصائية بين درجات كل من مفهوم الذات والمشاركة السياسة لدى الأسيرات، كما بينت النتائج عدم وجود فروق دالة إحصائيا على مقياس مفهوم الذات بين الأسيرات تبعا لمتغيرات (فترة الاعتقال-الحالة الاجتماعية – الدخل)، كما أظهرت النتائج عدم وجود فروق في مجالات مقياس المشاركة السياسية بين الأسيرات باستثناء بعد المعرفة السياسية لصالح فئة الأسيرات اللواتي ليس لديهن دخل.
