المستخلص: Given the importance of the events to promote tourism destinations, more investigations need to be done to know about the critical success factors (CSFs) for managing them. As many researchers have focused on the event tourism from the. perspective of promoting the destination, increasing the number of inbound tourists and the number of nights, occupancy rates, and receipts, its impacts on the destination etc., only few of them focused on how to manage a successful event. Consequently, the current study attempted to explore the critical success factors of events' management. It identified the critical success factors underpinning the following perspectives: organizers, staff, host community, venue and logistics, sponsorship, media, participants, and vendors. United Arab Emirates is taken as a benchmark as it is considered the major destination to host meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions in the Middle East. Content Analysis and Participant Observation for four major festivals; two in each country is used as a research method. The results of this study illustrate how the CSFs are employed in both destinations.
