المستخلص: The objective of the research is to identify the correlation between the trends towards university study at the members of the samples of the student human resources for the preparatory year for university admission in the medical colleges at Damascus University and the level of their ambition and the significance of statistical differences in the sample of the research on the scale of trends towards university study and the scale of the level of ambition according to the two variables of research: (gender). The researcher used the descriptive analytical method. The sample consisted of (314) students of the preparatory year for university admission in the medical colleges at Damascus University. The researcher applied the trend scale towards university study and the ambition scale. The study concluded the following results: 1- There is a positive correlative correlation that has a statistical significance between the trends towards university study and the level of ambition among the members of the research sample. 2- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the responses of the members of the research sample on the trends scale towards the university study according to the two variables gender. 3- There are no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the responses of the sample members on the scale of ambition according to gender variable.

هدف البحث إلى تعرف العلاقة الارتباطية بين الاتجاهات نحو الدراسة الجامعية لدى أفراد عينة البحث من الموارد البشرية الطلابية للسنة التحضيرية للقبول الجامعي في الكليات الطبية في جامعة دمشق، ومستوى طموحهم. ودلالة الفروق الإحصائية لدى أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الاتجاهات نحو الدراسة الجامعية ومقياس مستوى الطموح وفق متغير البحث: (الجنس)، واعتمدت الباحثة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، وتكونت عينة البحث من (314) طالبا وطالبة من طلبة السنة التحضيرية للقبول الجامعي في الكليات الطبية في جامعة دمشق، وقامت الباحثة بتطبيق مقياس الاتجاهات نحو الدراسة الجامعية، ومقياس الطموح، وخلصت الدراسة إلى النتائج الأتية: 1- وجود علاقة ارتباطية إيجابية ذات دلالة إحصائية بين الاتجاهات نحو الدراسة الجامعية ومستوى الطموح لدى أفراد عينة البحث. 2- عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات إجابات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الاتجاهات نحو الدراسة الجامعية وفق متغير الجنس. 3- عدم وجود فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين متوسط درجات إجابات أفراد عينة البحث على مقياس الطموح وفق متغير الجنس.
