لقد دخل مصطلح الفضاء في الدراسات النقدية الحديثة العربية كمقابل للمصطلحين الإنجليزي والفرنسي " Espace Space" على التوالي، وقد حظي هذا المفهوم باهتمام النقاد العرب، ومن بينهم الناقد الجزائري "عبد المالك مرتاض" الذي أولاه اجتهادا خاصا حين بدأ بتحديد المفاهيم الخاصة بالمناهج الحديثة، وما يميز دراسته اختياره لمصطلح الحيز بدل الفضاء علل هذا الاختيار بأن الفضاء يعني الفراغ بينما الحيز يحوي الأشياء فهو الأنسب لعالم الرواية، وبعد تحديد المنهج النقدي والمصطلحات مارس مفاهيمه في أعماله الروائية. لهذا قمنا بمسح لبعض أعماله النقدية التي تناول فيها المفهوم، وحاولنا البحث عن الفضاء في رواياته-أشكاله-دلالته-الفضاء الصوري، العنوان. Un terme est entré dans la critique littéraire moderne par opposition aux termes anglais et français (espace---space) Où Abdul-Malik Murtaze était intéressé quand il a commencé à définir le concept et a choisi le terme espace Il a plutôt choisi le haiz et a expliqué que l'espace signifiait que l'espace et (le haiz) contenaient des choses. Après avoir défini la méthodologie et la terminologie appliquées ces concepts dans sa fiction C'est pourquoi nous avons étudié quelques-uns de ses travaux critiques dans lesquels il a discuté du concept d'espace C'est pourquoi nous avons étudié quelques unes de ses oeuvres critiques, qui traitent du concept d'espace et ont tenté de chercher de l'espace dans ses romans Ses formes - sa signification - l'espace de l'image - le titre The term space has been introduced in modern Arab critical studies as opposed to the English and French terms “Space” and “Espace”, respectively. This concept has attracted the attention of Arab critics, including the Algerian critic Abdelmalek Murtadh, who gave it special diligence when he began to define the concepts of modern approaches and What distinguishes his study is his choice of the term ‘Haiz’ space instead of ‘Fizaa’ space, the reason for this choice is that ‘Fizaa’ space means emptiness, while ‘Haiz’ space contains things, it is the most suitable for the world of novel. After defining the critical approach and terminology, he practiced his concepts in his novels. So we surveyed some of his critical work in which he dealt with the concept, and we tried to search for space in his novels — its forms — its significance — the graphic space, the title.
