المستخلص: This research aimed to identify the discrimination capacity of the part one of AAMR adaptive behavior scale in discrimination between children from different ages, through studying the differences between children's performance who including in the research, where the research sample consisted of (490) children aged (11-15) year, they are students in the second stage basic teaching students in Damascus governorate schools. The results showed that the part one of the Syrian version of adaptive behavior scale has the ability to discriminate among the five age groups included in the research, where the results showed that there were statistically significant differences between children's scores on the total score and the sub-domains scores of the Scale according to variable of age, these differences were for the benefit of children with older age, The results of the Discrimination analysis also showed that Function of discrimination between five age groups are /Functions independence/, the total classification accuracy in a sample of research of five age groups 85,9 %. Thus, the research reaching to ability of the Scale on discrimination in adaptive behavior skills and person independence among from ages (11-15) year, and its effectiveness discriminatory between children of different ages are included in the research sample.

هدف البحث إلى التعرف على القدرة التمييزية للجزء الأول من مقياس السلوك التكيفي للرابطة الأمريكية للتخلف العقلي في التمييز بين الأطفال من الأعمار المختلفة، من خلال دراسة الفروق بين أداء عينة من الأطفال، حيث تكونت عينة البحث من (490) طفلاً تتراوح أعمارهم بين (11-15) سنة، وهم طلاب في الحلقة الثانية من التعليم الأساسي في مدارس محافظة دمشق الرسمية. وقد أظهرت النتائج تمتع الجزء الأول من الصورة السورية من مقياس السلوك التكيفي بالقدرة التمييزية بين الأطفال من الفئات العمرية الخمس المتضمنة في البحث، حيث أظهرت النتائج وجود فروق دالة إحصائياً بين درجات الطلاب على الدرجة الكلية ودرجات المجالات الفرعية للمقياس تبعاً لمتغير العمر، حيث كانت هذه الفروق لصالح العمر الأكبر، كما أظهرت نتائج التحليل التمييزي أن دالة التمييز بين الفئات العمرية الخمس هي/ الوظائف الاستقلالية/، وبلغت دقة التصنيف في عينة البحث من الأعمار الخمسة 85.9%. وبذلك توصل البحث إلى صلاحية المقياس في التمييز في مهارات السلوك التكيفي والاستقلال الشخصي بين الأطفال من الأعمار (11-15) سنة، وفاعليته التمييزية بين الأطفال من هذه الأعمار.
